Professor Dailey was great! Attendance isn't a big deal if you have prior knowledge, but the hands on experience is a big help and is what the tests are on. The book wasn't used often except to complete HW. The Indian teacher he teamed up with this semester was horrible at lecture, but is knowledgeable. Never stayed entire class! Great gpa booster!

These rating aren't based on Dailey but are passed on the Indian guy that he decided to group teach with. Idk how this man got a job as a professor, you cannot understand him and his lectures and examples are garbage. We were suppose to have 2 quizzes during the semester and only had 1 and no final. Only went to half the classes and got an A.

Really nice guy but I don't think he's into it anymore. He lets you out early and the test are really straight-forward but you can tell he's on autopilot at this point.

Easiest class I have taken at Rider. He lectures for a fraction of the class time and you leave early and have assignments to complete outside of class. Very easy going.

This guy is one of the easiest professors at Rider. Especially if you have a little programming background then this class is a breeze. Average class time was no more than 40 minutes. Never stayed full 1.5 hrs. Weekly hw, but answers are on chegg solutions. very easy class. just show up for tests and you'll be fine.

Class was a joke. Very easy. After the first two weeks I only showed up on days when there was a test. I don't think he knows what he's doing half the time. Just show up for the tests and do the assignments and you should have no problem with this class.

This is the best teacher. Average class time was 20 minutes. All HW assignments are right out of the textbook. Just do your work, get the A, and have a great time. This guy is pretty funny and he cancelled my final.

Class was M/W/F and never required us to come to a single Friday class; homework assignments are straight from the textbook (which tells you how to do them), never lectures the whole time period, and cancelled the final exam...you probably won't learn too much cause its basic computers but it's a great, easy freshman class.

This guy is too much. Lets you out of class after 30 minutes. Very lenient grader. Can't say I learned anything about programming. Which will come back to bite you later on in the real world since there are so few CIS programming classes in our curriculum. He is clear, but needs to be more involved in teaching.

Professor Jim Dailey knows the subject very well, but appreciates that this is just an introductory course, so does not push his requirements too far; it is pretty easy to understand everything that he is teaching, and getting a good grade very easy, as long as you do the homework & turn it in on time. If you like Visual Basic class is simple!!!!

Prof Dailey is the man-TAKE HIM. Even if you have zero programming experience he lays it out in a way thats easy. Gives slides with programs he wrote that have everything you need to do the HW's. Lets you out of class early every day. If you can do the hw the test is the exact same. Open flash-drive tests (bring your hws)

i'm computer illiterate pretty much, and got an A. had to teach myself some things, but you can basically go to class once a week for quizzes, hand in the projects and pass. hes a funny guy. if your taking intro to computing DON'T BUY THE BOOK- total waste of money. other than that, hes super funny.

Awesome guy, easy to talk to. He sometimes seems like he doesn't quite know what he's doing but he's always willing to help out. East to get in touch with and i would highly recommend him!
