What can I say Japanese is a hard especially for a first semester freshman. She is a nice woman but a very tough teacher! I learned a lot but still had to take 121 over again with Baba, who I enjoyed immensly. So I give parker a "eh" when asked if shes a good professor.

One of the worst teachers I've ever had. I'm terrible with langauges and my last JAPA teacher was wonderful. She isn't very nice if you're struggling and likes to put you 'on the spot' which is fine if you know exactly what you're doing. Struggling? She hates you already.

She is a very sweet woman. She is a good teacher, but sometimes her explainations are not very clear. Lessons jumped around a bit. Be SURE to do the homework and pay attention in class. She is a stickler for rules but teaches a fun class!

I love Parker-sensei. She is my favorite teacher. You learn more in her class than with the other teachers. She gives homework almost every night, but it's short and easy (and believe it or not really helps you stay on top of the material). I won't take anyone else for Japanese if I don't have to.

I don't know how there can possibly be negative comments about this lady. I have taken her four times in a row, and I always leave her class in a good mood. Some say she is a bit strict, but she just takes teaching seriously. If you are really interested and willing to do your work, you will have a great time and love her because she is hilarious.

Maybe I have a learning deficiency but I cannot learn from this women. Her class structure is illogical and makes little use chunking or mementic devices. Class exercises don't inform at all and neither do her homework assingments. If you want to have fun and learn some Japanese, take Baba-sensei.

Horrible teacher for beginers. she wouldn't answer quesstions b/c she didn't understand. She was very very unclear about what we needed to do for class. she never explained anythign well. i taugh myself the language out of the book. she got better as the semester went on, but i would recomend starting with someone else

Parker-sensei is friggen awesome, she a little tougher than Baba or Brooks-sensei, but no where near Sakabara-sensei, shes funny, extremely helpful, and very understanding! I'm very glad she's my elementary Japanese teacher!
