Dr. Danckert is awesome! He's hilarious and makes crude remarks that crack you up. In terms of the course itself, 3 midterms (75%), a paper (16%), and a lab component (9%), no final. The labs were based on participation/summary and really easy. Midterms were pretty difficult though so you need to work for the 80+ but overall a solid course.

Such a dedicated and amazing professor. He was aware that he spoke fast, and made up for it by repeating himself as many times as necessary. His love for his research makes learning from him so contagious! His choice to ditch the textbook made his lectures more powerful. Lectures are necessary to understand slides! I would redo this class x10!

He's an incredible professor who genuinely cares about his students. Extremely prompt with e-mail responses and tests were very fair. I also loved how he brought in patients who have suffered - it really puts the content from the lectures into perspective. Two thumbs up!

Had him for PSYCH 261 too, just an amazing prof, doesn't get any better than this. Exams are more than fair if not easy (for both courses). And best of all he gets real people that have suffered strokes or injuries to come in and talk. If I had to do it again, I'd take this course over and over and over again. Just the best there is.

Definitely one of the best Profs I've ever had. His lectures were always clear and concise and had a good sense of humour. I always felt interested in lecture. Exams were fair, if not a little too easy.

Great professor .. very friendly, and willing to help you out. He DOES seem to talk a bit fast, but nonetheless he's very clear as is good at answering questions. Tests are tough indeed, but if you study his notes and the assigned modules, you'll do fine.

I thought that he went through some of the topics a bit too quickly. Read through the text before class and you should find him a bit easier to follow. Overall, a decent prof. Shows interest in students; made topics more interesting with video examples and simple demonstrations of certain phenomena in front of the class.

If you are interested in Neuropsych take this course. Danckert has published numerous articles on interesting topics and is current chair of Cndn Research Council in Cognitive Neuroscience. Smart guy and very approachable. Took the time to records bonus credit lectures (5% of grade for 20 q test) Tests are as expected for 3rd year, not too diff tho

Awesome course, very helpful, talkative prof. Unfortunately a morning class, though he didn't stray from the slides at all. Don't know if I liked that as it doesn't give a feel for what ELSE is important (ie. from the textbook)

If you're not a morning person, don't take the class. You need to listen to the lectures cause not all the stuff is covered in the textbook. Diagrams are important.

Very good prof, and very clear. I really liked this course. It was very interesting. I had 3 mid-terms,and one essay and no final exam. If you study hard, I'm sure you will get a high mark in this course.
