Comment:

This man is boring, but I enjoyed his humor. He really tries to make the class laugh although his jokes are nerdy. He rarely kept us the entire class and gave "sample" questions to the test (READ THOSE). He goes over homework in class before it is due and homework is graded so I recommend going to class at least to get the homework.

Comment:

Not a bad guy, but boring lecturer. His notes do not reflect his tests in any way shape or form, nor do the sample questions.Must read the book, not a horrible class but certainly not entertaining.For all the hws ur must just figure them out yourself he gives no direction.Thats his point of the assignment, made a few exceptions for the diff tests.

Nice guy, not a good teacher. Exams are all T/F and seem lazy on his part. Class material is useful, but memorization of T/F questions isn't the way to learn it. Seems like he is just going through the motions. No zeal to his lectures, it's depressing really. For an easy A if you are patient with boredom, take it. To really learn, look elsewhere.

I've had Denton for two different classes. He always has a classes at either 8:30 or 9:30. He's boring and sometimes its hard to stay awake in his class. However, he's a nice guy and if you do his study guide the tests are relatively easy

He was helpful in regards to the assignments. Tried to be funny during class, hard to do with boring subject. Very nice guy and easy to get along with. If you study the slides and are there when he reviews the tests arent that bad.

WARNING YOU WILL BE BORED!!! This class is hard you can only miss 25 points to not get an A. He does not give ANY extra credit. But is mandatory so have a nice semester. GET A LOT OF SLEEP BEFORE GOING TO CLASS

One word: boring. Hard to make yourself go to class and when you do, it is pointless. He reads out of the book, word for word. The review for tests is "study the dark words" and the final is cumulative, so for the final had to study about 400 words. Also, the grading is out of 250 and can only miss 25 to get an A so you are basically youre screwed!

Does not aim to teach through lectures. Rather speaks directly from book providing little insight to what you will be tested on. Very little points in the class leaving no room for error on essentially three finals of testing (Test1: chapters1-9) (Test2: chapters10-18) and a cumulative final. Look to take someone else to learn more and do better.

He is a good professor and really does his best with the material he has to teach. But one word of warning: do NOT take his class early in the morning. You will snore and it will be embarrassing. Although his delivery can be a bit monotonous, I think it's just because he a quiet guy - this is still a good class to take.

Dr. James Denton (Dentoni)is a solid professor. He knows his stuff, however, his lectures at time can be a little boring. Nonetheless, he is available for help and is approachable. Tests are fairly easy and fair.
