Complete waste of a semester. I did not learn anything new in this class that I did not already know. I am currently reading a Chemistry for Dummies book before taking Chem 1407 in hopes of actually doing good in that class. I got an A from Dr. Elder but I got nothing from it. He is a super nice and sweet guy but should not be teaching classes.

Dr. Elder may not be able to teach very well, but there is not an excuse to fail his class. He gives 30 point curves on all his tests, labs are easy and so is the homework. Stop complaining that you have to study and read the book, that should go without say. Show up, do all the homework, and half ass study for the test and you'll make at least a B

He's a nice guy and knows the field of Chemistry very well, but he doesn't teach it well. He does put out an effort to teach and is a good man, he's just not clear is all. His tests are pretty easy, he gives a curve which helps a lot. I did study really hard. The book is super helpful, study the learning checks and examples!

Sweet man...He will help you after hours if you ask him. His test are hard, but he goes on a curb. I did put a lot of time studying, but it was twenty years since I have been to school and ended up with an A. Thank you Dr. Elder, your class made my drug calculation class easy.

Dr. Elder, though knowledgeable in the area of chemistry, does not seem to like teaching. He put little to no effort into our classes and basically just read off of a PowerPoint slideshow. I feel that I learned absolutely nothing. My entire class failed every test and he had to curve like crazy (45 point curve once!) so we'd all pass. It was awful.

This teacher was horrible, all he does is read from slides that are pictures from the book, and have nothing to do at all with the info on the tests. And when it comes to lab he is not even in the room if you have questions, you have to go find him. This was a horrible class and I would suggest that you do not take it if you wish to pass.

This man does not have a conscience. If he did he would not read the teacher survey you fill out .. in front of him!! So he knows, who wrote what. He will look and see what you write. no one is there to enforce the privacy rules of the student while filling out the survey. BEWARE!

This man has a poor attitude, poor skills and doesn't act like a teacher. He looks around when you talk to him. He has comprehension of Chem. just can't teach it outside of his brain. Get out now!!!
