Take any other History professor except for him. I don't normally think this about my professors but he seemed to be prejudice against African Americans. His lectures are informative but he can't even remember what he assigned the class to do. Can somebody say retirement?

He needs some wort of rubric to give students for larger papers. The method to the madness is hard to follow with him. He is fair and consistent though. Enjoyed the class, but I dreaded the methods to grade my projects.

He is the hardest teacher in the history department, but he is my favorite. I am amazed how much I learn under him. I took him for Religion in Amer Hist and for SC Hist; these two classes have been of my favorite and most informative at USCA. Don't take him if you cannot handle a B.

I like how he gets into his classes. His tests aren't easy, so not a mickey course. And don't take it you don't like essay tests. But he knows what he's talking about.
