Comment:

A lot of these comments are super bitter! I've taken three classes with Dr. Kennedy and I think she's great. She can be a little daunting, but she's always willing to help. Exams are always all written. She does not post notes. It can be intimidating to answer questions because she seems frustrated but she's really good at explaining things.

Comment:

This class was a lot of work. The articles that you had to read and discuss with the class are one thing, but to do four of them and have to write a 5 page critique on each one for 3.5% of our mark was a bit excessive, especially in addition to the 15pg paper. She is intimidating when you go for help but appreciates a job well done and grades fair.

Comment:

She is a historic, Plains, archaeologist so she studies farmsteads and the like. She is knowledgeable and is willing to share her knowledge. If you are looking for a class for easy marks (I'm looking at the engineers) choose another prof. I recommend her Historic Arch class. Lots of hands on practice.

I have taken a couple of classes from Professor Kennedy and I think she is awesome. She is NOT bitter as one reviewer claims. She is willing to help if you ask and is crystal clear about what she expects from her students.

I've had this prof twice and I really like her. She's organized and very knowledgable and marks papers very fairly. Sometimes her exams and reading assignments can be quite hard. She is very willing to help students.

You need to show up to all classes, because she takes down attendance and penalizes those who don't show up all the time. Tests focus on obscure parts of the text and lectures, and are overly difficult for this level of class. Extremely hard marker. Would not recommend this prof, at all.

Can be a tough prof but she is fair. You have to be the one to take responsibility and TALK to her if you are struggling. I find that if you show up to class and take good notes even if you don't quite understand her point (ask if don't !!) you will do just fine on the exams -- which are straight forward and pretty easy.

Took 354 and 352 from her as well. I think her teaching style maybe somewhat unorganized. She is helpful outside of class. Will lend books to help write papers. Her tests are not that hard as long as you come to class, readings only help, but you can get by without them. Overall I think she is good at what she does and wants students to do well to.

I have both worked with her and taken classes with her. She can be VERY cruel and insensitive sometimes. She looks down at some people like they are stupid. Her lectures were poorly structured but she is easy to get ahold of (woo-hoo). Be prepared for chaos...

Very interesting prof. Definitely one of the best I've had in 3 years at university. Very intelligent... responds quickly to emails... treats students well... her exams are easy if you read the text and go to class on a regular basis. She made me want to switch majors, even after spending 3 years as a Psych major. Very enthusiastic. A must take.

She is very unclear what she wants and expects of students. Her lectures make no sense and she rambles about stuff that is not even important to the class. She has completly lost touch with what a 200 level class is suposed to be like. She expects everyone is a arch major. BAD CLASS!

Historic Archaeology is her love and it conmes across clearly in class. She has a great field school and I highly reccomend her classes. Once you get to know what she wants her exams are easier (Not easy but easier)
