Files has loosened up since I took his principles class a couple years ago. The material is pretty tough, but if you go to class and study, there's no problem. Took this class for the 1st time and got a B....better than most of the people taking this for the 2nd time.

Hard class, but helpful outside of class and grading. Has a quiz every week on the readings, but averages them with how the class does. Tests are hard, but offer a lot of chances with questions exactly from the quiz. Teaches like everyone is an Accounting major.

This guy is quite simply a rube. Really horrible communication problems, and I've never seen another professor actually talk so much about nothing that they actually end up confusing themselves. Re-took this course, and instead of his D, got an A.

He is really not a good teacher. His tests are rediculously hard, and he does a terrible job of explaining things (always confuses himself, the class has to correct his mistakes). i do believe my class average is a 64. Avoid him.

Jim Files is the reason im not an accounting major. His class is hard and pointless, i find it hard to beleive he was ever an accountant. His jokes suck just like his class. Dont take him unless you like to do hours of pointless homework.

Very nice guy, can't teach too well, very hard homework but he gives you 100 on it as long as you do it all. Quizes on class average. Tests very hard. Do all hmwk and average on quizes and you dont need to do that well on tests.

VERY VERY HARD CLASS. The tests are ridiculously hard. He gives a cumulative final and no other Accounting professor does. Lectures are completely pointless. Homework is due every week and the homework is expected to take 2-4 hours to finish!
