I felt like his grading was arbitrary and our class lacked direction. I wish I would have taken a history or ethics class rather than logic with him.

Late for class everyday, unorganized, lost student's papers, did not respond to student emails, did not pass out a syllabus, poor class average on exams, did not honor his word about curving the exam due to low test scores, only two official grades for the entire class

Greene is a philosopher moonlighting as a teacher. A rare and complete individual in a land of idologues, I recommend him to anyone wanting knowledge. He understands ham sandwiches in layers deeper than any of the other philosophy professors understand anything. He is not likely to be good for a GPA, but for the soul, nothing better.

This was one of the most enjoyable classes i have ever taken. But that comes with a warning.. if you dont understand or care about philosophy, then just stay away. This is no easy A, his tests are all difficult essay. But his lecture is amazing. Scatterbrained maybe, but never dull. Please take this if you really want to understand moral philosphy.

This man is incredible. Granted his lectures are confusing sometimes, but if you listen well then it's not too hard to follow. The readings help a lot. As to his scatterbrained-ness, it's the best part. He applies phil to life with it! Just listen and appreciate. Completely worth it!

I went into this class with an open mind, expecting it to be challenging, but interesting. It turned out to be the most difficult, confusing class ever. Greene is enthusiastic about philo, true, but he does not explain things well at all. The lectures are very hard to follow.

scatterbrained? well yeah, there was that one day he went off on a tangent concerning**** and didn't know how it happened. my guess he's secretly brilliant, but the rest of us are too stupid to figure it out. if you take him, good luck.

Greene is sharp. I can understand how people may find him to be a bit scattered, but if make an effort (i.e. read the text) in any of his classes you can take so much from his lectures. In his class you actually get to see philosophy being DONE instead of just the "typical" lecture.

Greene Is a cool guy and seems to know alot about Phil, but he is lacking in the teaching dept. He rambles and isn't very helpful when you ask him questions. The only plus is that everyone does bad so there is a great curve!

best prof. at NMU. I tell eveyone to take him. This class changed my worldview. Not a good class for you "I-want-an-easy-A" halfasses. Great class for people who realize they are in college to learn and not just expand social lives and drinking

A little wack-o... not sure if he was all there in class. Knows his stuff but not how to teach it. Had uncles that had him... guess he was this way for a long time. One answer for an essay on his exam is why not
