I hated the material but by far my favorite class and professor! Funny, charming, brilliant man. He will make you laugh, learn, and do anything he can to help you in or outside of class. He is the epitome of what a good professor should be. Exam is fair and he is a fair grader. Take him! I'm so depressed I took all his classes already.

Hicks is amazing! It's the one class I looked forward too because he is always making us laugh. He makes future interests look like a joke. He's probably one of the best profs at Cooley. His exam was fair. I thought I did bad and ended up with an A.

Very good Professor. You have to study, future interest on his exam was hard but very fair. Look over his old exam, you will one of the same fact pattern on your exam. I thought I did really bad on his exam, but somehow made an A. LEARN Future interest for his exam, VERY VERY important.

Great professor. Talks fast but keeps the material interesting. He is very willing to help. Very funny. Go to the TA sessions on future interests. Tough exam, but I got an A because I went over all of his old exams. They are priceless.

one word.. hilarious. The subject can be a little dry at times and he still manages to make you laugh a lot. very clear with explanations and you can tell he is passionate about the topic. Very good prof!

He's a great prof but will definitely make you earn your grade. Reluctant to one on one but will always stay for a group session after class. Likes to hear himself speak. Just read his notes at the end of the chapters and you will be okay.

If you are interested in taking a professor that makes life GREAT, take this class. Prof. Hicks is easy to understand though he speaks quickly. The only downfall to this class is that he is reluctant to set up individual meeting times, other than that he is GRRRRREAT! And make him do his Bill Clinton impersonation.

Hicks is one of the best prof's I've ever had. The material is easy to understand but dry. He makes the best out of it by being funny. The final was a killer but if you stay after class for his review he will answer any questions you may have (including old exam questions which appear on his final). Will take him again if I can!

I dislike the subject. And I was not able to use the extra session, which would have helped, as I was so swamped. However, Hicks is helpful in that regard. He also is REALLY funny and knows his stuff. His exams, especially his short-answer conveyances are much harder then others professors. If you don't believe me - compare the exam bank.

Ok the GOOD news is real nice guy, very funny, should be in comedy. Bad news, this class is about as easy as Quantum Physics. Everyone does bad so you end up ok, but not fun at all. Use your pass at the right time, I played it smart and managed to never get called on.

Best professor I have ever had - hilarious, informative and inspiring. His Socratic method is intense but he will help you towards the answer. Know future interests and you'll be ok for the final. Learned more in his Q&A then in class. Essay is straightforward but has many issues. Consider yourself lucky to have Hicks.

Really nice guy and a great teacher. He's hilarious too!! Compared to 1, property 2 is like coloring in a coloring book. However, his final was tough!! Essays were cake as long as you studied, but his MC were truly out of this freakin world. For every question it seemed like 3 out of the 5 choices could be right. B- in the class, def. recommend.

MC are ridiculous - a true crap-shoot, but if you write a good essay, you can come out with a reasonable grade. In class, he is the man - a great professor, but also a really nice guy. The only set back is if you get called on, be prepared for a socratic-whiplashing. Study hard and try to nail his essay (go after it first), and you will be okay.
