Having suffered through both linguistics classes as part of the requirement for English Teaching certification I can honestly say I have no idea what these classes were for. I got As, but what a waste of time. He is a bright man, but can be demeaning and insulting at times.

WHAT ARE THOSE PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT?? His class is not hard at all. Everything on the exams was stuff we were very famililar with from homework assignemts. His exams are easy. It's simple, if he says memorize something then memorize it! It's obvious what's gona be on the test.Easy A. Exceptional Pro

Okay, I can understand why everyone thinks he's a jerk. He comes off as stuck up and talks about all these stories that make him seem smart but you learn a lot in his class and I hear that those who have him and take the MTTC do much better. Pay attention and you'll get an A.

He is not even as bad as everyone thinks. If you actually try very hard and pay attention, you can do well. I learned so much! Give it a chance, don't drop after the first test because the next one is much easier. Just pay attention closely!

Makes **** remarks and talks about personal stores than he does teaching. Told people if they didn't get the material by now to just get out of his class. Very unhelpful...will call you stupid to your face. YOU WILL BE SORRY IF YOU TAKE HIM

If you are interested in learning about language, he challenges you to do your best, but if you are there to take up space, it is difficult to pass. He does not expect any more out of his students than he expects out of himself. I learned a ton.

He is awesome. I loved going to class because he was so animated and gave real-life examples. I did the homework, studied the nights before tests, and got an A in the class. If you want to learn something new and interesting, take him!

Very difficult class; hard tests! Hard h.w. and you had to learn a lot of new information that you've never been presented with before. One way to get on his good list to get a C or B in the class is by not dropping. This is his biggest pet peeve.
