Good teacher. Classes are based on PowerPoint handouts and can be a little boring at times. Don't buy the textbook (unless you want to spend the money and learn some extra information that's not included in the notes).

Excellent professor with years of experience as a D.C. Cop. Breath of fresh air compared to the liberal nut cases that SUNY campuses are filled with. Great lectures and helpful assignments. Left class w/ a good understanding of case law and the goals of the Criminal Justice system.

Girard was a police officer in Washington DC for a long time, and he has a lot of interesting stories. That being said, taking him for 80 minutes twice a week is not recommended. There is no participation because he simply talks for an hour and twenty minutes. He likes the sound of his own voice. But he knows what he's talking about.

Really easy class. Really boring. He spent one class going over one slide. There's also not many tests so if you do bad on one, chances are you might have to do through this class again. Honestly, as long as you look over the review sheet you could skip class and still pass.

Took this class because nothing else would fit into my schedule.. I liked how he incorporated his experience as a cop into the lectures. Just take notes and study the notes and you'll do fine However DO NOT BE LATE!!!! He won't let you in. He does tend to get behind on coursework though we ended up combining the last 2 tests into one final.

Really good teacher I would recommend him as long as he stays on topic. Could at times be very ride and opinionated.

Girard is a really nice guy but he gets extremely behind in the work. Out of 13 chapters we got to 8. Spends way too much time going over the newspaper and telling us about D.C. A lot of the stuff on our exams we never learned and told us to avoid.

very nice guy, soft spoken not loud. Love that he incorporates his former policing career into his lessons. Makes it easier to follow than a plain ol book and to know he has actual experience in the CRJ field. I recommend him. I do not recommend sleeping or showing up late though. He loves to answer questions so don't hesitate to ask!

Fair, good stories of the cop life which helps the info digest a bit better. Read the book, do the self-quizzes, participate and you'll do fine. DON'T SHOW UP LATE. Easy on the eyes.

I never really had much interest in criminal justice, except for Law and Order, but he brings some dry information from out of the book to life with with the stories of his career. Now CRJ is my major. Thank you Professor Girard. Oh So Hot.

This Guy should honestly retire, I ended up with him twice, and he gave me a crappy grade when I lost my journal entry for his class, I took two days and redid the whole thing, and yet he still wasn't going to budge. He Is not fair and doesnt care about what happens, even if your journal comes up missing, Oh yeah, he thinks he is hot too............

this is an easy class, 50% of the time is a story about his work in washington dc. if you are a good listener you dont have to do the reading. just listen in class and take notes he lectures straight from the book. STUDY for your test they are only 30 questions and there are only 3 for the whole semester fail one and get a withdrawl slip from him.

Got behind during a crisis, he told me not to worry about the work then and let him know when I was ready to come back. He never told me he'd expect all of the back work to be caught up. Another teacher gave me a break and cut out some assignments. Girard finally forced a Withdraw. He also is not consistent with checking our folders for msgs.

Although very boring and often speaks of Washington DC, Girard's class is rather easy and his test are even easier. Oh and his final is as if he stapled the first 2 test together. *wink wink* Definately and easy A!
