He expects us to write down everything on the slides every class while listening and also writing down what he's saying. He talks really fast and does not provide class notes on brightspace

Great lecturer, if you get the chance to take Econ and Ethics. Get's a bad rap for being strict, but isn't a bad guy in office hours. You can learn a lot from this man, but you have to hit the ground running with assiduous note taking. His tests are fair, but he holds a high standard

Super organized and clear. However, tests are tough be prepare to study. Group study is highly recommended to do well in his class.

By far the worst professor I've had at LMU. The material is hard enough as it is, but then he thinks we can write down five pages of notes every class and at the same time somehow comprehend what it all means. He's very smart but an awful teacher. all he does is copy down his notes from his packet while talking at a thousand words per minute.

This class is very hard but if you put the effort you can get a good grade. 7 HW packets 5 count. The problem sets are probabaly the hardest part of the class. The tests are based of the notes. Study notes thoroughly and you will do fine. Use Tutor and Dr. Konow's office hours. Work hard and get a good grade. Extra credit current events.

Let me begin by saying Dr. Konow is brilliant. It is this brilliance that makes this class so difficult. He expects that every student will understand all issues discussed, despite the fact that he teaches at an incredibly fast rate. The tests are very hard. I've never studied so hard for any exam, and I still got a D. He is very a finicky grader.

Tough class, stereotypical econ professor. Copy down his lectures exactly and memorize/understand them and you will do fine on the tests. The problems there are literally straight off the notes. Study in groups! I got an A and group study is definitely the way to go.

I would rather take a professor who can't teach but who at least is respectful and kind to his students than a professor who can teach but doesn't give a damn about his students. Perhaps one of the most least-liked professor in the entire economics department.

TOUGH class! The material is VERY challenging, but he does a very good job of explaining and clarifying. He gives a LOT of office hours though, so take advantage of them, because they help! Workload is 5 homeworks, 2 midterms and a final, and some Wall Street Journal summaries. Get a study group!

Dr. Konow is tough but very clear in his thinking. He makes the complex material very easy to understand. Beyond economics, he has a wealth of helpful insights he may share with you outside of class. Very hot!

Horrible professor. VERY HORRIBLE. He's probably one of the worst teachers at LMU. During the whole class time, you end up writing 4 pages of notes. This class will make you have a negative experience in econ. Be prepared to leave with a sore hand.
