He actually made me enjoy history after years of high school hating it. He is an amazing professor and an even better person. He stopped class the other day to make sure a student was okay after noticing they did not look well. It was my first time here I saw a professor so genuinely concerned for a student. He is AMAZING!

I would suggest McNutt to anyone looking for a history class. He is excited to teach and relates the past to current problems. Ive never been able to do anything but memorize history, but now, I can understand it.

He is excellent! He has a great sense of humor. Not a whole lot of homework but some reading but the reading isn't necessary at all. Gives great feed back and knows a lot about history. He lectures but its history how else are you going to learn. I would totally take him again

Comment:

Inspirational professor, that would be the best way to describe him. He always manages to connect what you are learning to real life events, and at the end of the course he tells you the most touching life story I have ever heard. He motivated me to pull through my tough semester. Made adjusting to college as a freshman much easier!

McNutt talks tough in the beginning and pretends that you will have hard time passing his class but in reality he is supper easy. His test are tricky but if you know the material its an easy A. He may drop your test (if you failed your first test and pass the next one he will drop the one you failed ). Easy teacher by far and most organized .

I took him for a 400 level holocaust and genocide class; he is extremely passionate about the subject which made class interesting. He was available to students outside of class. I recommend reading the text (helps to understand context); 1 major presentation and large research paper - ended up not being too bad. one of my favorite classes at TMC

AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!!Fantastic professor! I have always hated History but this guy makes you like it! You will NOT fall asleep in this class; Dr. McNutt will keep you awake, trust me!! Aside from his amazing teaching skills, he is a super nice guy! LOVE HIM!!
