We didn't get to cover most of the topics on the syllabus but he is considerate and accommodates the grading. He is also very lenient with the work. He expects you to self-teach though. He goes off tangents a lot, not allowing himself to properly teach his students the material.

Nice guy. Don't recommend this class. There's too much to do. Have to write a page for every chapter we read (abt 40), & then a 5 page paper for every book (3). & have to read articles & write those up as well. class wouldn't be bad if there was less writing & reading. This isn't my only class so all the work piles up. Info is cool to know though

Professor Moore is a really great guy, but the main problem that I had with his class was that we didn't nearly finish the material we were supposed to cover, to the extent that the final was a take-home paper on topics we had to teach ourselves. Nonetheless, he knows his stuff.

He made the class very easy to pass. We used tophat every class for these quizzes that asked questions about the reading from the textbook (they were made into homework later). Tests were fairly easy as long as you study some notes and the tophat questions. He always give extra credit on them which is a huge boost to your grade.

The class is really easy if u do the work. There's about 15-20 pages of reading per class which is what the tophat quizzes (he later made them hw's) r on (I just took pics of and then looked for the answers in the pages). After that u don't have to look at the txtbook again. Just study the tophat questions and the lecture slides and ull do fine.

Moore is a great professor, he's really into Archaeology and is quite helpful and willing to give up time for any issues you have. He does go off topic sometimes and it may get boring at some point but his workload is WAY less than other professors. He is also understanding about cutting down some assignments if the class talks to him.

Moore is a huge sweety and so easy. He didn't give us a final bc we wouldn't have gotten our grades for the 3rd test back in time and he ddnt think that was fair. And then he told us he wasn't counting the quizzes if it would lower our grades - only if it would help. Just get the textbook for the quizzes and pay attention in class and youll be fine

He totally changed up the grading weight of everything at the end of the semester in a way which worked for some people but screwed over others. The class requires A LOT of reading and the tests require A LOT of studying with there being no cohesive study guide.

The class itself is pretty laid back but there are quizzes given at the start of every class. 3 tests are given with 1 final. All together, 4 tests. The prof. drops the lowest score of the 4 tests. All the notes are put up online in this app called TopHat. The only thing bad about this class really is just paying for using the app for the semester.

No exams. he has these like 6 little assignments you do for homework that basically show you how archaeologists do their work and you do a write up. In addition that one paper on a book & an encyclopedia project which is supposed to be due monday but got pushed back because he hasn't written the guidelines yet. Willing to work with you, pretty cool

3 tests. 1 cumulative/optional final (drops lowest exam grade so if you only take first 3 you're good). Multiple choice Qs. 1/2 of it is from his tophat in class qs so you've seen 50% of the test before you take it. Theres EC on every exam. If you don't mind paying for the tophat subscription, its basically an easy A. He can be quirky but he's cool

Easy class if you show up and take notes. Don't really need the textbook. Tests aren't hard, not easy either. But he curves them like crazy. First test I got a 78 + a 12 point curve, 90. Second test I got a 84 + 12 point curve, 96.

SO MUCH WORK. He's nice, but the class itself is super boring, and there is so much work! We read 3 (very boring) books and then had to write 3 papers, plus a final paper. I did alright in the end, but this class was painful.

Good introductory class. You don't need the textbook; just attend every lecture. The exams are based entirely off of his lectures, which are not too difficult to follow when he does not go off on a tangent about stone tools. He offers extra-credit for every class: simply type up your lecture notes. Tests are all multiple-choice, so it's easy.

Great Professor. Says many interesting things useful for studying for his exams. It's best to pay more attention to his lectures than the actual textbook and take really good notes, with a laptop, because he speaks a lot. And he gave my class an extra credit assignment which was easy to complete. It really helps!

Casual style. His lectures vary from boring to interesting. He can tell very blunt jokes. No papers. He may go off in tangents (like with stonework), but it's not too incomprehensible. His 3 tests are easy: multiple choice and true/false questions. You don't need the textbook as long as you attend every lecture and take notes. You can get an A+.
