Most of the material he uses is online, he has notes from the textbook in powerpoint format. I went to class maybe once a week at most and I still managed an A. If you don't do well in this class it's because you are too lazy to either study or pay attention in class. If you do one or the other you will pass no problem.

The class itself is boring but the professor does a good job teaching the material. Everything is online and the 5 discussion groups are easy and worth 100 pts so do them! Do online study quizzes, he takes a lot of exam questions from them. Go to class, sit and listen everytime and you will be fine, you won't even need to read the boring book.

Pagano is dull and unfair in his exams. The exams have nothing to do with what you cover in class. Basically, he expects you to memorize the textbook. He writes the exam questions, so sometimes you can't even figure our what the hell he's asking. I'm typically an A student,and I'm sure as hell not going to walk away with an A from this class.

If you read the material and do the discussions, you will get an A. If you don't care...well...then you won't. He gives a large curve when he grades tests, because so many do bad. Don't rely on the curve though.

I never went to class. Just the first two days, then I stopped going. I studied the notes online before every test and took part in the online discussion group. I passed the class with a D-. Basically, i dont know much about the guy, but the class was pretty simple with him. That's the best I can do as far as an evaluation.

I don't know what everyone's problem was, he's a good teacher and knows his material. He taught in a giant lecture hall of >120 people, how would you be? Not a bad class, and the material isn't hard

Nice professor but the class is a snooze. He puts the notes online but they don't help on the exams. The exams are hard & have ambiguous questions. We covered a chapter per class which resulted in 18 chapters for the whole semester. The final was CUMULATIVE so we had to study 18 chapters! Not good!

Pagano has a bad attitude and his exams are an outrage! He sucks as a teacher and in my opinion should NEVER be allowed to teach another class again. The only thing he is good for is no attendance policy, a descent curve and a low test grade score drop. I am dying to see my grade in a few days!
