Comment:

Tests are pretty easy in this class mostly because of open book open notes. He tends to start examples and then ramble and then not finish them when he gets close. He doesn't have office hours and can be hard to reach. He will refer you to the TA and classmates first and only help if he absolutely needs to. Lectures are miserably boring.

One of the more interesting classes I have taken at UMass. Perot is a great guy and really tries hard to help students understand. Test are open book open notes. That does not mean they are easy. Homework's were not graded, as long as you handed it in you received full credit. Don't be afraid to go to office hours, it will help your final grade

great, smart guy I ever made. Although he's only the sub for thermo class, he shows his interest on the materials. You really HAVE to read the book, so important, be sure to do HW assignments, may be hard but really helpful, exams were ok, kind of tricky. Overall he's a funny guy but difficult, KEEP UP THE WORK IT'S ENGINEERING

Very good teacher; clear and precise in what he wanted you to do. Homework was easy in the beginning and was easy in the end as long as you did it. The homework didnt so much get harder, but just made you think. Very good mental exercise.

Course was very easy in the beginning, then very difficult, but always interesting. Did an excellent job of instructing, and worked well as a weeder for the engineering program. Also, grading was fair, a big bonus. Enthusiastic for 8 in the morning, another plus.

Perot has a great sense of humor! AND he is funny as all hell in class (funniest thing he ever did was make fun of physics and say 'if [physics] were real, raindrops would kill you!' Engineering is not easy, but Perot makes it fun and funny.
