Ultimate disillusionment is guaranteed when this Pulitzer-nominated professor confuses the definitions of sarcasm and irony. Ha, if you don't like JR, you need to lighten up. I can see why people hate him, he's sarcastic and sometimes so at the expense of students, but he can take it as well as he can dish it. Be on your toes and you'll be fine. My writing improved a hundredfold because of this guy.

I took a graduate poetry class from Jim and think he's one of the best professors I've ever had. He's quick, thoughtful, and funny. I learned a lot about poetry and teaching from him. He's definitely one of Miami's best

I only took one class with this guy that was enough. I've never heard so many racial slurs, disgusting sexual****ersions, and altogether sliminess in a class before. He acts like he knows those writers because he feels he has to prove himself.
