Good teacher. A lot of work, yes, but any ME should be expecting that at this point. A lot of material is learned on your own time watching videos he has made. Grading it tough on labs but if know what you're doing and you take advantage of passing them in early you do fine. If you're a solid designer/worker you do fine in this course.

By far the most difficult professor I've ever had. Your expected to learn alot of the material on your own, plus a huge project. If you have him for linkages expect to spend 3 times as much time as you would for any other class, no joke. Expect to spend an average of 30+ hours a week for this class, and Sherwood is a really tough grader to.

This guy sux. Extremely difficult course worth only three credits. Linkages he knows next to nothing about. Applied strenghts very difficult, He missed several class. Sad part he is unavoidable part of ME Currriculum. Tests hard and grades hard. Will fail or do poorly even if you do all the work. Study and go to class if you have a hard time.

Sherwood is one of the best professors there is in the ME dept. Yes, his class is hard and you have to do A LOT OF WORK, but he is very willing to help when he sees you are putting the effort in. The midterm and final are easy as long as you do the homework. The projects are impossible, start early! Ask questions, he'll help.

If you ever take this course, do not go into his office and ask what to do! He will make you do EVEN MORE WORK than you feel is adequately necessary. He enjoys assigning tons of work but an EASY "A" if you do it.

this guy assigns way to much homework and then doesnt grade half of it. he also just makes up a grade for you which has no bias on what your grade were during the semester. but he is unavoidable so sucking up is key
