He doesn't do the teaching for the job-more for the love of Philosophy. He is quick to call on you if your hand is raised. Your comments in class never feel stupid. He was helpful with getting Freshman well acquainted with how to write a good paper. A course intended to help you consider yourself on a deeper level and ask yourself questions.

I loved Professor Smith's class! I went into PHIL 153 without much expectations because philosophy really isn't my thing, but every time I'm in his 8:30 AM class, I find myself wide awake and super interested in what we're learning. He's easy to talk to and great at explaining things. An all-round amazing professor!

Professor Smith is more than just a typical professor. He will be the first to tell you that he's not teaching for a mere salary, but rather for the students in his class. He's extremely passionate, loves God, and expects a lot out of his students. He's an exemplary educator.

Jamie does a great job of seeing how philosophy helps understanding Christianity. Jamie talks about issues that matter and does so very clearly. If you're into Philosophy already you'll especially benefit.

Try to contribute to the conversation and he'll see that you're making an effort and love ya. If you slack, you're done. Sometimes very hard to understand if you're not into philosophy as much as he is. I failed...

Even though I disagreed with many things he taught, he made me really examine my life and calling in the world. He taught the class well and made it more than just a walk in the park. While it was difficult, it was rewarding.

Like DeYoung, he conjures theory and practice with Christian rigor. He does philosophy for Christ with patience and humbleness. He taught me how to pray. He makes students become more curious, so grow up and work. Class is worship with Smith!

Hey hit one out of the park for stocky, balding, brilliance! This guy razzels, he dazzels, and before you know it your entire interpretation of human intersubjectivity has been flipped for an Augustinian motif. Tough Expectations, great guy.
