Dr. Strickland is a really great guy. Such a sweet heart. However, his class is a lot of work. You have a writing assignment due literally due every day except for Sunday. If you forget about it on the weekends or if you have a busy week you get extremely behind tying to catch up.

Dr. Strickland is a great professor. Classes rarely go the full time. There are a lot of papers, major papers and tiny papers. The little essays are 500 words each and you write these approximately 3 times a week but they aren't bad at all. As long as you do your work, it is easy and you will get a good grade. I really enjoyed it.

In this class you have a writing assignment everyday, either in class or outside. On the bright side, they are not difficult at all. You are also required to do writings on the weekends. There are three papers that are worth a significant amount of points, but aren't too difficult. The class is often boring, unfortunately.

Don't be intimidated by the weekly writing assignments, they are quick and he grades them easily. He wants the students to like reading and writing again, not be overwhelmed by assignments. It's cool that he cares so much about his topic!

Dr. Strickland has made my first year of college very enjoyable. He is an awesome guy, who really cares to get to know each one of his students. His classes are based mostly on power points and him talking. Gives a lot of assignments, but if you stick to it you will be okay. You will read out of the textbook every week. Probably the most genuine professor on campus. He's really sweet and hip. There's 3-4 500 word responses due every week, but they're easy and fun to write. He's lenient with turning them in late for those. 3 major papers, and those are fun to write too. I actually learned a lot in his class. He cares about everyone and actually learns names. Easy A

Ive always hated writing but I am honestly going to miss his class. Professor Strickland is the nicest person. He tries his best to make the material interesting and jokes around. There were only 3 papers and as long you includ what was on his checklist, you get a good grade. Theres a lot of homework but it becomes very easy after a few weeks.

Professor Strickland is a wonderful professor. He truly does care about you and wants you to pass. A lot of the points come from doing assignments outside of class. He tries to make the class fun and he will always tell you stories. I only wrote 3 papers for him. Very easy to get an A on the papers and in the class.

I love Professor Strickland. He is a great professor, and gives great feedback and grades fairly. He does his best to make class fun, and loves to joke around with students. The assignments are not bad, they are very reasonable. I honestly wish he had a critical reading class so I could take him again.

Okay, Strickland is a gem. I really enjoyed his class. He was a great professor who is caring and an easy grader if you follow his guidelines. There was many assignments, but easy to do. The textbook is cheap and used periodically. The big assignments were a collection of three EASY reports and a portfolio at the end. All in all, I would take again

Yes there is homework 6 out of 7 days of the week. But they are 500 word assignments that are graded on nothing but completion. When you get used to it you can get them out in about 20 minutes. Really great professor! I accidentally forgot to turn in a paper at the end that would have dropped me down to a B, but I emailed him and he accepted it

Great guy and professor. He truly cares about his student's success and gives excellent feedback when it comes to writing. He has some good wise cracks during class, too. Taking this class with him has definitely helped my writing ability and would highly recommend as a professor
