Very good professor, just need to read the textbook. There's a quiz at the beginning of every class based on the readings. Very interesting lectures but he does grade harsh on the written tests.

reading is required before every class and there will be a quiz at the beginning of the class. As a non native speaker, I can finish reading easily. Professor Watts is knowledgeable and he answers students question carefully. Exams are not hard as long as you read the textbook and take his class.

Watts is a great teacher that really knows what he's talking about. You have to read the material because he has a 5 question quiz on it every class. The questions can be tough but as long as you do the reading you should do fine on the quizzes. The tests are essay based but TA's have review sessions for them which are very helpful.

Watts is very knowledgeable and despite what some may see as a quirky sense of humor, his classes are great discussions and learning platforms. Yeah a bit heavy on some of reading assignments but it is about gathering the info and getting the point of that lesson. this is a great class.

He is the worst! I highly recommend NOT taking this class. He actually expects 50+ pages of reading a night for a 100-level class, and then tests on the material in such a specific way that a huge percent of the class gets C's or lower on them. The worst. Also, he's super sassy in the weirdest way. Don't take this class if you love yourself at all

Boring most of the time, makes lots of jokes that no one seems to get. Very smart and knowledgeable but expects too much reading for a 100 level class. Like's to give out lots of in depth material to study all for a 20 question mc test with questions that seem random and irrelevant. If you prefer essay style classes skip this one.

I took 2 classes with him, for both attendance was mandatory and reading was ridiculous. Watts, we're not gonna read 50 pages for every class! Especially when there is a paper due that day. He expects too much, is full of himself, and doesn't give breaks for long classes. He's knowledgeable but very boring.

He knows his stuff - so intelligent and very interesting. He does refer a LOT to the Bible, so it's good to have some background info. Always saw him helping students and answering questions. Usually has essay tests and a couple long papers.

totally recommend this class and this prof. he knows his stuff, he doesn't lecture AT you, but rather he talks to you and treats you like his equal. plus he has a sense of humor.

He is arrogant and likes to pick fights with students. If you take this class with no prior knowledge he would have you believing he wrote the Bible. Be quiet, take the notes and sit in the back to get the easy grade.
