Quite an experience. The memory he has regarding what his students' say in class is great. He will go out of his way to answer a question for you. I graduated years ago and I find it funny that he still has the same talks about the same stuff...does he still smoke his chalk?

There are two types of people. Those who have had Fr. Vanderwheel and those who havent. He is a guy that leaves a lasting impression. And for that reason alone, you should take his class. Make up your own mind. Chill out and just enjoy the experience.
