I enjoyed her marriage and family relations course very much. She is very personable even with it being an online course. Her online schedule is very user-friendly. It's an easy A if you do all of your work and readings.

Comment:

She's great!! I took Soc 1 online, and she has a very straightforward grading criteria. You must read each chapter in the textbook in order to understand the topics and what to write about. You would have to simply not do any of the assignments and/or not properly site your references in order to not pass this class lol. This class was helpful.

Comment:

Dr. Brown is great! She is very communicative about what she expects from students, and it makes her classes easy to pass. She is the department head for behavioral sciences, so she is well respected on campus. I have taken two courses with her, online and in person, and both were interesting and easy.

Comment:

She is so much fun to work with. Has amazing class discussions pertaining to the topic of the lecture, share stories with class - class participates if they want. Group projects for sure, essays for sure. 10/10 would recommend, even for a dude. Dudes come out with some better insight on what most women deal with. Take her class for fun too!

I took Soc 12 during the winter session and it was very easy. She gave plenty of time to finish the weekly tests and discussion posts. Her grading standards are very clear as well. She is very responsive throughout course period, if anyone has any questions or concerns. I enjoyed her class so much, I signed up to take her during a full semester.

DR. Brown is a AMAZING professor. she is one of my favorites and I would be honored to take more of her classes in the future. she provides great feedback and her class is very interesting. You will learn so much from her. I am majoring in Sociology and I could not think of a better professor to learn from. She is fun and caring.

Dr. Brown has been one of my favorite professors. I took her hybrid class just looking for options and it sounded interesting. Although sociology isn't my major I enjoyed her class and the things I learned. She is very understanding and really is on your side and wants you to pass. She offers several extra credit. Passed with an A+!

Dr. Brown is by far the best professor I have ever had. She has so much passion and knowledge that it makes sociology interesting for all students. Dr. Brown is a wonderful teacher. She really takes the time to connect with her students. Even in a limited engagement environment, Dr. Brown answered every question asked of her with kindness and patience. I really enjoyed the class itself but even more so it was an absolute pleasure to be taught be her. My only regret was not taking the class IRL

I took her online class over the winter break and I must say it was the best decision I have ever made! Her class wasn't difficult and it was easy to complete the weekly postings on blackboard. Just make sure you read the chapters assigned weekly and you will definitely receive an A. She also gives great feedback!

Easy class, but it doesn't mean there's no work involved. She's very kind and wants you to not only get the best grade possible, but to also understand the material. The assignments are pretty basic; discussions and weekly assignments. It's a great class with a great professor!

If you're a sociology major then take Dr. Brown. If you're not, she will make you fall in love with the subject. The class was easy because everything she taught was interesting. You must do all the weekly assignments on blackboard, and you must read every single chapter she assigns or you will not pass. She offers a lot of extra credit. Take her!

Easiest A I've received. but I truly enjoyed the class. Exams are easy if you read the book and the written assignments are super easy I got perfect score on both the essay's. She offered a total of 40 points of extra credit throughout the course. If you get anything lower than an A you didn't want an A.

Dr. Brown is the best teacher I've had at rcc. Her online courses are organized well, and her assignments are interesting and make you critically think. She gives great feedback, and she is fast at responding to emails and grading. I hope to take many more classes with her. I have learned so much from her. Read the syllabus and do the work.

Just finished her online class and got an A. Her class was amazing I learned so much. 2 written assignments, 12 Participation board, 5 student feedback, and 10 DQ's. It sounds like a lot of work, but it's not the assignments are there to really help you understand the topic. Reading is easy and Exams are easy if you read the chapters. take her!

Such an award Professor. Her class will make you fall more in love with sociology. The book is very important! Be sure to sign in daily, read the chapters entirely because some questions on the test are little question that answers are hidden within the text. Also, reply and be active with classmates, and you will definitely recieve an A!

I took Dr. Brown's class online during the summer some people might think it's a lot of work, to me it was not. You have to post on the participation board once a week and answer the weekly discussion question as well as respond to another students discussion question answer. Make sure you read the book and you will do good on the exams every week!
