Great teacher, knows what he is talking about for sure. Only complaint is that he covers the material a bit too fast. In the beginning I fell behind and it took me quite a bit of work to catch up.

The professor is super cool, I very much enjoy the manner in which this professor teaches. However, this professor doesn't give feedback unless you visit him during office hours. He doesn't provide the answers to his assigned homework, and grades it with a check mark, that is the only feedback you get. Due to the lack of feedback, I can't recommend

Dr. O'Neill is a wonderful professor: always willing to help students, never blows off students, clear and straight to the chase. Office hours are amazing, test are difficult but, just make sure you stay on top of your homework because that is the key to passing this class. If you're lazy you won't pass; you get what you give to this class.

Dr. O'Neill is so inspiring, and always very helpful. I'm a bio-chem major, but I feel like switching over to physics now! You can't go wrong with an instructor this passionate about the subject and teaching. Don't hesitate to take this class!

Best professor I've ever had. EVER. This guy is amazing. He's insanely brilliant, without a doubt the most intelligent person to ever set foot on this campus, and yet is still very humble. His lectures are inspiring. He encourages questions and will NEVER make you feel stupid for asking. His classes are very hard but he prepares you for the future

Good teacher, dificult material. Do your homework and ask questions. Understanding the concepts in the homework is essential to getting an A on exams.

Great professor. His method for teaching physics really helps you understand the subject. This class is not an easy A, no upper division physics course will be. Make sure to do all of the homework, as hw problems sometimes can be similar to the tests. Don't be afraid to as questions! Very encouraging Prof, would take again for any 4 series physics.

His lectures are superb and you will learn a lot if you pay attention. His tests are very tough, but passing his tests means that you can pass your GRE test easily. Even MIT tests we looked at were easy compared to his. So, if you're ready to learn and don't mind hard very hard work, this is the right class; otherwise, look elsewhere.

He's a very intelligent individual and his lectures are spectacular. Very few professors engage their students as Professor O'Neill. With that being said, his upper division physics classes are brutal. While homeworks are graded lightly, his grading on tests is borderline terrifying and unreasonable. One mistake and everything is marked wrong.

I took this class over Summer 2015. There were 3 tests and one final but he also had nightly text book assignments. Prof is an awesome guy. Very funny and knowledgeable. He's a visual person and draws examples on the board. Always willing to help and applies real life terms to physics. Interesting class!

He is very informative, funny and positive; however, the questions on the tests and the questions from the notes only overlap about half of the time. It would also be helpful to allow a little more time on the tests. Some are common sense (the ones not provided in the curriculum) and can be worked out with reason, given the time to do so.

Very nice, he treats with respect, and explains the subject with terms that you understand. You can ask him questions about the subject, and doesn't make feel dumb or awkard. If you would need to continue take physics, I would take it with him.

This prof is extremely patient and so sweet. I just wish RCC had more profs like this. He's so helpful and seriously knows everything about physics. I almost wonder why he's not doing tv shows like bill nye! I highly recommend him!

This class isn't easy, but that's because Professor O'Neill wants you to actually learn stuff. Although his lecture is a little hard to follow, you could always ask for help in his office and he's going explain everything clearly. While taking notes make sure put some extra text notation to help you understand after class.

Amazing professor. Took for 4A, 4B, and 4D. You will know physics after taking his courses. Prepares you well for transferring. Makes the class interesting, challenging, but doable. Very supportive and encouraging. Best physics professor at rcc by far. You will have laugh during lecture. Labs are straight forward. Don't hesitate to take him.

It has been told that 4B is the hardest course in RCC. I am not sure, but I can tell you that Dr. O'Neill is willing to help you. You have to use that in your favor, because he through some hard test. you have to know that he sometimes adds 4A stuff in the tests. He is an excellent teacher, but the course itself is hardcore. Math 1C and 2 helped.

4 series isnt going to be easy no matter who you take it with. you can be sure that if you have any question, oneil can answer it... park your pride outside and if you can't answer ANY question on his homework go to his office hours and ask. doing this will guarantee an A. very lenient. 30% hw, 10% lab grade distribution. drops 1 test.
