2005 I took A&P I, It was a hard class but you have to show up and study hard! Ms A. was very informative and was always there to assist if needed! I loved the lab too! She made it fun! Sorry to hear she is gone!

Jan was extremely energenic and knows her stuff. The class is difficult but Jan does a good job of showing you the information in many different ways. I thought she was a bit nutty but her tactics work!

she is great as a lab instructor, she has a great way of showing differnt slides and examples but yet it is very hard to take her tests because your notes are not helpful, and the way her notes are wrote (fill in the blank) sometimes the blanks are not important at all. I would NOT recommend her.

Ms. Ackerman is one of the best professors I have ever had. The class itself is hard but she is a great teacher. For the students who have complained about her, grow up. You are in college now and you may have to study a little without someone holding your hand.

The class itself is very difficult, but that's not her fault. She teaches it really well, and uses a lot of variety for everybody's different learning styles. The people who have said she's awful are probably the people who failed the class..... She's great, but the class sucks.

Those who say Mrs. A is impossible or a horrible teacher are LAZY!!! This class takes time, study your notes and you'll be just fine, this isn't high school you actually have to apply what you learn.

I was challenged in her class, and felt I learned and will retain more because of it. Do not take her class if you are lazy or have problems thinking analytically. I tried very hard and earned the exact grade I thought I deserved. She is very fair and clear. I think she is a great instructor.

Ms.Ackerman is one of the nicest teachers I have ever had.She is very nice.She tries many different techniques to help us understand.People that think she is impossible are not trying.This class is not one to slack in.You have to keep up. Ms.A is extremely approachable.Makes you learn.She's great!!!

Jan Ackerman is one of those teachers who you just cannot stand to listen to, you want to plug your ears and scream. She has very odd explanitations for everything. Don't bother to ask a question... you won't understand the answer. Don't expect to know everything, it's impossible.
