Comment:

One of the most down to earth people I have ever met. She is one of those professors who has her own morals. She is very preserved and takes her time with lectures and material. Gives clear instructions of what she wants in her assignments and a clear day-day syllabus of each assignment due date. Doesn't believe in A+, but more communication A-

Comment:

Very nice instructor. She makes it clear on the way she grades papers, which sometimes are a little hard. She is always willing to help with anything. Very easy to pass if you show up and listen to her advise and skim through the assigned chapters.

She is the most sweetest down to earth professor i have met. Always there to help when in need. Cares genuinely for her students. Assignments are quite easy, She will extends due dates for assignments if you ask her.

She says: "There's no such thing as a perfect paper so I don't give A's." She gives A- though. Really nice in person but gives very vague feedbacks and she fails to set definite, permanent due dates for assignments. Attendance is mandatory to pass. There are 4 major essays to write but A LOT of UBLearns BIG DISCUSSION BOARD POSTS to write.

She means well but is very all over the place when it comes to exampling assignments and such. She does not give many As, I received B's/B+'s not my papers even when on the draft correction I met all the requirements. In class work is just business work and really is kind of pointless but she takes attendance. Overall she is ok at best.

Overall shes a very nice lady but isn't a great professor. The workload was a little time consuming but is still managable and not difficult at all. I thought her essay topics were pretty cool but she is a hard grader. I have never seen anyone get an A no matter how perfect the essay is. Her class is an easy B or B+. Overall shes an okay teacher.

She's a nice person, but not that great of a teacher. I've taken English 201 and received an A, but I struggle to get an A- in this class. She doesn't like to give A's, so instead she gave me a B+/A- on one of my papers, even thought I met all the criteria she was looking for and went above and beyond.

Bottom line: take her class. Just show up and do your essays. You will get 4 5page essays and a portfolio with revisions of two of those 4 essays and a powerpoint. She likes class discussions and group work, but rarely calls on you. She is not an easy grader, but will help you do better on your essays.

Refuses to give higher then a B even if you do all the assigned work. The work it self doesn't seem difficult it's just time consuming and she is a very hard grader, I haven't seen her give an A to anyone. Also loves to relate everything to popular culture.

She is a very nice person but she doesn't really add anything to the learning experience. She doesn't give A's on papers, even if they are well written and follow the guidelines to a T, and even go well above and beyond. She isn't helpful and just talks a lot about things that are not at all important or relevant. Very boring.

It's difficult to revise papers because she gives conflicting corrections and suggestions and she doesn't seem to realize that it is a gen ed english class. She made writing very stressful, which is too bad because I enjoyed it before...

Ok first of all,Shes not as bad as people make it seem.Its not that hard to get an A in this class. Just do all the assignments which are only about 4 and a slide cast as a final. There are also like 2 journals each week submitted online. One thing i didn't like though was that she likes a lot of group work!boring class but not bad.

I thought she was a great teacher. The assignments are really easy and the readings are fun. Don't buy "Rules for Writers" your not going to need it, but "Remix" you will need. Most of the writing assignments are based on it, you really need it! I managed to get an A on a few papers. And journals were east. TAKE HER!

not a bad teacher- not always clear as to what she wants though. there's no writing rubric and because the class is all about revising our writing, everything starts with a low grade that you must continually work to improve. outside of the research paper, there's not too much work to do in the class. over all, pretty easy.
