Great professor. She knows her stuff inside and out. Some of the books were boring, but she managed to explain them pretty well and she knows a lot about poetry, especially Dickinson. If you have her, be prepared to take some notes, not a lot if you read the books and pay attention to her even a little bit during class.

Very knowledgeable about her field and provides helpful information for writing your papers. I can see how some might find her lectures boring. When you get through this class, you will really feel like you have a firm grasp of realism, naturalism, and local color. Overall, an excellent course with an excellent professor.

Professor Eberwein is extremely passionate about her field of study. She is known the world over for her knowledge of Emily Dickinson. She is a fair teacher and always willing to answer questions either in or out of class. It was a privelage to take her class and I would highly recommend her to any serious student. Be prepared to learn.

Challenging class with heavy reading load - but to be expected for 300 level course. None of reading material TOO horrible, her explanations in class help everyone to grasp subject matter. 2 papers, Mid-Term and Final Exam. THis teacher is the smartest lady I've ever met. Don't take her class if you don't like English, cause you'll hate it. But if you're interested, she's the coolest. She makes you work hard, but you'll learn more in her class than any other class. and isn't that the point of going to college?

This is by far the absolute worst class i have ever taken in my entire life. Yea Im sure its easy if you listen to her during class but that monotone boring voice of hers makes perfect for falling asleep. Every class i try and stay awake but it just doesn't work. She also never stops talking and always goes over time. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS IT SUCKS

It's a horribly borring class. She's really into her books though and knows her stuff. Pay attention to the little details, they're extra credit on the exams. YOu dont' have to read if you pay attention in class.

Jane Eberwein is a good Professor but she is sooooooooooooooooooooo boring. Emily Dickinson doesn't interest me so maybe that's why. She laughs at her own jokes. Overall she grades easy and if you come to class you will pass.

She tries to make the boring books that she makes you read fun, but unless you're an English major, you probably won't enjoy this class. The lectures are EXTREMELY boring, but you can pass without reading the books. She also has in class writing, and if you do it, you automatically get the points.

I LOVED THIS CLASS! yea, the reading wasn't the greatest, but she really has a passion for the authors she chose. She made boring topics interesting! She gives you everything you need to know for the tests! I'd DEFINATELY recommend J. Eberwein to everyone
