I would not recommend this professor, she is very unprofessional. She takes forever to respond to emails and when she rarely replies they are unhelpful answers or something vague. She makes us use this site that is irrelevant and is confusing and something that would never be used again. The only good thing were the assigned interesting readings.

The class itself is interesting. The reading that she assigns is actually pretty interesting to read, at least to me. The only thing that I would have to say is the website that she makes us upload our papers on isn't the most user friendly website and the instructions are sometimes not clear. But other then that its your average English class.

I loved this class! She's very clear on what we have to do and what she expects from us. Through out the semester, theres several papers. The good thing is she gives you time after she graded to check back and fix errors to get a better grade. How cool is that!!! I would retake her class if I could!

Prof. Cross might seem intimidating but she wants the best for her students. Yes, shes a tough grader but the more revision on your assign paper the better outcome of a grade you"ll earn. I really enjoyed her class. No final exam!! Just a end of the semester paper. Go to her office hours if you need something to be clarified! Taking her again!

Janet is very direct which is great she makes sure you know what she is expecting. Always read the chapters assigned because she'll talk about it in class. She picks at random to read out of your daily journal. Be prepared to do your final online. NO TESTS!!!! Easy grade just keep up with the reading.

I have never written a review, but holy tihs this professor is something else and has compelled me to write a review. She took a semester on website design at adult city college and forces her students to use her site mahara, that looks like it was designed in 2005. Ofc no one understands how to use it and so they get 0's cuz they format it wrong

Horrible class and horrible professor. Most unclear professor I have ever had. Due dates are all over the place and nearly impossible to follow. Worst possible instruction on all assignments. Mandatory to use Mahara to turn in assignments, which is the most complicated and unnecessary website. Overall terrible! dont take!

Professor Janet Cross is an amazing professor. Yes, at first she seems a little serious, but as time goes on if you do all your work on time, and actually listen to whatever she says, she would count on you to get a solid A in her class. Extremely helpful & she knows her job really well. If you love to read, write, and stay focused then TAKE HER.

she uses a useless website to turn in major assignment. The website itself is confusing and not easy to use. Her assignments are easy but confusing. Honestly it was not that bad you just have to keep up with this class. Log in every day to see last minutes instructions. its not too hard just read the instructions before starting an assignments.

Great professor just do your work and come to class with material and prepared to learn. Make sure to read handouts and worksheets and do your weekly progress reports. All of work is due online on MAHARA which is tedious.. once you practice and play with the program it will be fun to share your work online. Recommend if you are put the effort!

This professor was unclear and us use a site, Mahara, to turn in all major assignments. She gave loads of work due every week, and the due date changes, so if you don't keep up with the correct date you'll miss getting credit for assignments. She is not helpful, and is a poor communicator. Do not take this class!!!!

OMG! DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! I read the previous posts thinking it was going to be a decent class. LORD NO! Not only are the assignments unclear but she makes you post on a site that i believe she owns AND IS HORRIBLY CONFUSING! She makes you do double the work and is extremely rude in emails. What a horrible class. She is so unclear on her assignments. Forces you to upload your assignments to a website that is not user friendly at all. Almost everyone in the class does it wrong and she thinks it's our fault. Unbelievable! Why can't we just upload normally to moodle. Assigns a lot of work too. Stay away.
