My favorite class so far! All you have to do is show up (otherwise it's -5%). About 8 one-page "reading responses" though I confess I only did about 5% of the whole semester's reading. One midterm essay, one media analysis (super easy), and one research paper, and one final essay. Not as horrible as they sound. EASY A! Very little work.

LOTS of writing, so if you don't like writing, I suggest you stay away. Other than that it was a pretty easy class, because I don't mind writing. The best part of this class is that there is no actual exam, so no multiple choice tests or anything like that, just papers on papers on papers.

She is very passionate about women's issues and makes the class interesting even when it's pretty similar to just a history lesson. The only problem is that you have to write a LOT. There are papers due every week and they can be really long. Be prepared for a lot of assignments. You also have to attend class to get credit.

don't worry too much about the reading responses i only turned half of them in, i barely tried on the 2 research papers and still did fine but make sure you do well on the midterm and final. somehow got an A-

Super easy grader and a pretty easy topic. The midterm and final are both take home and there are no quizzes. She does take attendance to make sure to go at least for a portion and sign in. There is a ton of writing and papers but she is one of the easiest graders so it isn't too stressful. Take her for an easy A!

HATED this class. Attendance is MANDATORY you lose points if you don't go. Class/Lecture is BEYOND boring. SO much writing. Final & Midterm are papers, research paper also, weekly journals, etc. If you don't want to write a million papers don't take this class. No real test.

shes such a sweet lady but very slow when it comes to grading. she keeps you hanging when it comes to your grade. she likes class participation even though its completely out of what she is trying to teach. Easy class.

She was absolutely terrible at putting things on Blackboard and I had no idea where my grade stood the entire semester until final grades. She never graded anything on time so we never got our papers back except for one. Her lectures were quite pointless and she literally ran around the classroom trying to teach random issues. DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS

- 5% points for every absence over 2. Course reader is about $50. Kind of a silly lady, but nice. I have received A's on everything, but attendance can greatly effect grade. we will see.... if you cant get to every class, you may not want to take her.

The worst thing about this class is that you don't know what your grade is until the day its posted up on webportal. Maybe class at 9am is too early but this class was extremely boring and attendance was mandatory. This class isn't an easy A like everyone said its more like an easy B.

Roberts is likely one of the most ignorant professors at State. She constantly misconstrues information and teaches her opinion. Her lectures are really just her repeating herself and running about screaming (literally). The assigned literature was good, but as someone actually interested in women's studies, I was very disappointed with the class.

Class is boring, took my laptop all the time to stay awake. But, the material can be interesting and she is very helpful. She's extended some deadlines for us when we asked as a class, gave us resources etc. Very flexible teacher and nice as well! The only thing is the long essays to write.

I loved Prof. Roberts class! Her stories and discussions are always interesting and funny. She's a memorable character and likes to go on tangents, but they are all relevant and wrap back around to the original topic at some point. Her classes are discussion-based so sit back, take it all in, and enjoy. No boring lectures here!
