If you want to do well in here class then you need to make sure your maps are perfect!!! Also, if you want to actually do well in here class then you need to actually read the chapters and copy her notes off the board. When she starts to get into religion, don't even try to argue with her concerning anything.

She is very consistent and she has been teaching a long time so she is set in her ways. Her lectures are interesting. She wants input but it has to be in line with her views or she will disagree with you. YOU BETTER KNOW THE MAPS! 3/4 of test come from notes but you still have to do the reading assignments.

As some famous dude once said, "Ride the horse in the direction it's going." In other words, don't try to change her mind about anything. She's there to tell you what to think and how to think it. Do the readings and cater your responses to her bias (Xtianity.) You'll do well as long as you don't rock her boat and make sure you read the material.

Her tests are very challenging. You have to read and know your maps. MAPS MAPS MAPS. She has been teaching for a long time and really loves history. If you want a good challenge and like history then you will enjoy her class.

I loved Dr. Stone's Civ I class. While her tests had the possibility to be hard, as long as you study, you will do fine. She is a fair teacher and as long as you do what she tells you too, you will do well. I would recommend her for any class. I just hope I can take her again.

I avoided CIV 2 and am glad I took it from her. She expects works, will entertain well thought out arguements and questions. The writing isn't much comparatively. I look forward to taking another class from her.

Ms. Stone is an excellent teacher. She goes over everything in great detail and makes it where you can understand it. She has maps for you to do, which puts the places in perspective and refers back to the books repeatedly in class. To make an A, you need to attend class regulary as well as read the nightly reading. A wonderful teacher I recommend.

An A is attainable, but you will have to work for it. You have to write 2 5 page papers and 10 2-3 paragraph reading responses, which can usually be off topic. Her final is overwighted and contains a lot of extra credit. I enjoyed this class except for all of the writing. Nice old lady, although I didnt like her at first.

she's very hard, and i'm a very hard worker, but she teaches as if you already know the material, her test are complicated, and the pages to read before the test are so vast in number( 49-50 Pg}, by the time the test comes, you will foget all the material she's assigned, trust me she's very stuck in her ways and difficult to pass

She is so hard. Her tests come from the material, but the material is so vast. She picks, I swear, a word out of a book and tells you to write a paragraph on it (this is of course an exageration, but not by much). Nice litte person, but there are better teachers to learn history from.

She sucks man. Let's say this. I took this class and English 1101 at the same time and I swear I wrote more papers in this class than in English, which is ridiculous. And my God she is so boring! Horrible monotone voice, it's like sitting there trying to pay attention to a ghost. So much unnecessary work.

She teaches with too much emphasis on religion. If you disagree with her interpretation of the text, don't bother saying anything because she will let you know that you are wrong and she is right. She is helpful but somewhat condescending to students. I would not take her again.
