Terrible Prof. Very friendly, and interesting, yet extremely disorganized. Also gives an extremely heavy course load, and does not clarify assignment expectations. Failed to mention final essay was to be 6000 words (20 pages).

Tulloch bases her classes off of a combination of textbook material and her own personal research. Best way of understanding course concepts is to attend class regularly and try to keep up with most of the readings. She always makes herself available after-class and she is open to extensions if you really need them. Good class for those into it.

She is the worst professor I EVER had. She's all over the place and is incredibly unclear with her requests. Very unorganized and she asks a ridiculous amount of work on topics that are impossible to find information on.

This class was supposed to be about ROMAN ART AND ARCHAEOLOGY... It is hard when she is talking about Greek paintings as if they are roman because she is talking about the etruscans. She is actually part of the Religion department and I think she should stay there, she is not qualified to teach Art history

Avoid this prof at all costs. Not qualified to teach this material and did not know what she was talking about. Often contradicted herself and can't even pronounce the Greek or Latin Words correctly. Taught more about ancient literature than about actual mythology.

By far one of the worst Profs I have had at Carleton. She was not prepared for lectures, spent most of her time looking through the books for packages and her test material is based on the smallest details. I would avoid taking any of her classes again.

Midterms and exam were from minute details and vocab list she GAVE the class and said was pertinent was NOT. very frustrating class often went off topic with random tangents. Grades assignments fairly.

There were some people in the class, that seemed to really enjoy it but I did not, she didn't seem to have a plan when teaching and a couple times read straight out of the e-book to cover a subject. I feel like as a prof she should know the material but I wasn't too sure if she did. I was looking forward to this course but I was disappointed.

Janet is a fine prof. She includes lecture notes online, so going isn't a must, but it helps. No essays, which was awesome. There isn't an overwhelming about of material and there are no surprises on the exams (all multiple choice) so nobody has any excuse not to do well in this class. Great prof, interesting class.

Average prof. The topics are also average in terms of interest. The marking scheme was quite fair and I liked how she had set it up. She is not a hard marker. The course was easy and very little effort was put in but I did do 85% of the assigned readings.

Worst prof I have had at Carleton to date. When asked a question that she does not know the answer to, instead of saying that she will get back to us, she told us to research it ourselves! Is not very clear with what she wants and does not seem to know what she wants to really talk about. All in all, I passed but with no help from her!

Comment:
Textbook is awful. Exams are condensed versions of the textbook. Any time the readings mention anything close to resembling a fact (though often not backed up), it will be on the exams. Exam questions will often be marked wrong on semantics and she will not reconsider. OK prof, but she needs a lot of work to be a good prof.

The textbook chosen is awful. The author makes all sorts of "shocking" claims that she never backs up (or provides enough information so that we can look it up ourselves). Both textbook and professor are just one long rant about how evil men are and how awful Christianity is. This isn't feminism. This is man-bashing. And yes, there is a difference.

Definately the most BORING prof I have had so far. She gives many assignments, but they're incredibly easy. Definately considered a bird course with this teacher, she seems like she has no idea what shes talking about so she'll accept whatever you say or write as being correct. An EASY A+ if you can sit through the boredom of her lectures.

I have only taken one class with her, and I enjoyed it and did really well. After reading these comments, it seems that perhaps the quality of her teaching depends on the dymanic she has with the class. I have noticed that she tends to badmouth students she doesn't like, which is a pretty unprofessional thing to do.
