Comment:

This was a graduate level class so I assumed it would be hard. She acted as if we were very skilled and knowledgeable in Pre-Calculus which most of us hadn't seen since high school. Short and sweet feedback which doesn't help when you get questions wrong on homework or tests.

UGH! If you take this professor be prepared for disappointment. Dr. Walker is by far the most difficult grader I have ever had at all my years at IUP. She is condescending and her class is extremely stressful. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Great professor. Explains things better than most. She makes sure everyone understands. Homework every Sunday, so you have all week to do it. Also you have as many attempts to get a 100% on the HW. Sometimes wont have it after we have a test. Tests are about every other week w/ about a chapter at a time. In class work sheets to help for review.

She does a lot of group activities. If you don't understand problems she will go over them and even see where you make the mistake to show you how to fix it. Definitely one of the better math teachers I've seen.

She is just not a good professor. She gives 30-40 math problems every week that are only worth 5 points all together. Her lectures are pretty different from the exams. She doesn't explain things very well and don't even bother going to her office hours. She gives very boring lectures as well. I went to almost every class and still didn't do well.

I have always been really good at math but in this class I just don't understand. She makes a lot of mistakes so students have to correct her. She doesn't help very much and is not a good teacher in general.

I liked Dr. Walker as a person, but her class was a different story. She treated the class like middle school students. EX: A student went to leave during class and she stopped the class to ask him where he was going. I thought the class was extremely easy. Lots of homework, a few quizzes and tests, and a final. Nice teacher, just took it to slow.

I have Dr. Walker for Math 105. I've always been good at math, so the class is a breeze. She's very nice and extremely helpful. Tests are pretty easy. . The only complaint I have is that there is a lot of homework online. It's a lot of work for little points, and doesn't seem worth the effort. The textbook is also online.

If you need to Math 105, I would you should take her. She is very quick to return tests and quizzes, and explains things well. The quiz questions come straight from the homework. You can get up to ten extra credit points by seeing a tutor. There was also a 20 point bonus quiz. All together there were 6 quizzes, 3 tests, and the final.

Dr. Walker is a very nice lady and good prof. Her HW problems are the quiz questions. As long as you show up and pay attention and ask questions if necessary you will get an A or B. There are bonus opportunities.

Great professor. Very clear and easy to understand. All you have to do is show up for class and pay attention. If you are confused, then speak up and she will do everything she can to clarify what you are missing.

Very easy class! If you know your math you will breeze through this class with an A. She assigns homework but does not grade it or even check to see if you did it. She only uses HW problems for quizzes. I didn't do any of the homework and got an A. Take for an easy A if you are decent at math!

She is the poorest professor at IUP. She isn't very knowledgeable and definitely isn't fair. Unfortunately I can't avoid her. Why is a glorified elementary & middle school teacher in charge of high school math? Don't expect any significant help during office hours as she won't remember or honor anything said.

Whatever you do, do NOT take her. She teaches you stuff that is way to easy in the most difficult way. I had a doctors note for a class I missed. I didn't get credit for the class nor would she let me take the quiz, that alone brought me to a D. She is not lenient at all. You will be bored out of your mind. STAY AWAY.

Ok, if you want the easiest A of your life and can deal with being in kindergarten again, you should take this class. I recommend either pitching in with or borrowing a friends book, the minimal assignments in the book is NOT worth the purchase. The art projects get old and so does the second grade math work, but its an easy A.
