Hard grader but great professor. This is the only class that i have adapted my learning to the outside world-public presentations. He is very helpful outside of class too. Willing to help you out to see you succeed.

This guy knows what he's talking about. He's not some clueless grad. student who's just been given a textbook. Having worked as an engineer, he can translate his knowledge to the classroom extremely well. Those who don't like him just don't want to do any work. Very helpful and intelligent TEACHER.

Take this professor. Hes extremely helpful and understands that this class is not on the top of your priorities lists, he extends deadlines and due dates fairly often and his essays aren't bad, you write 5 per semester but so does every other english class. I recommend him 100%

Prof Foster is a great guy. Your grade mainly focuses off the essays you write throughout the semester and also the 10 question quizzes that are weekly. If you show up and do the readings its an easy class to pass.

Professor Foster is one of the teachers who knows what their talking about. He is helpful when you need feedback although it felt like his class consisted of about 2 essays every week, which piles up very quickly if you procrastinate. Show that you're trying and you should do fine.

Prof Foster is a great guy and a great teacher. Do the work contribute to the discussion and you will do fine. This class is alot of work but the way he structures it helps you with the final (huge) paper. He doesnt play favorites like many claim he just dislikes stupid people(and who doesnt)All in all a fair guy.

Don Foster is awesome! He's really easy-going and his class was an easy A. Kind of treats you differently if you aren't into engineering or technology, but just be a good student and he's cool. Just do your writing and revising and you're all set.

Mr. Foster was extremely nice. His english class kindof felt like more of a tech writing class because he talked more about that than english. If you speak up in the class and participate, you will do great. The workload can kindof overlap itself a lot and get a little hectic but its manageable.

This man was one of the worst teachers I have ever had! He was clueless about the computer program we were using, I got more advice from the other students. He was also rude and not knowledgeable about Enghlish or computers!

this guy is a jerk... even though the class is structured and he specifically explains what he wants, he seems to find enjoyment in ripping his students apart. gives a ton of work too. if u have to take it wait for a semester where you have a light load.

Foster is one of the schools more useful teachers. The students in this forum that claim that he is useless and that the work is too hard do not belong in college. His class IS hard, but you come away with more knowledge than you know what to do with. If you work hard, and prove yourself in his class, you WILL succeed.

As everyone else has said, you need to get on his good side to get a good grade. Takes points off if you don't participate in class. Attendance is mandatory. I think if you missed more than 3 classes points were taken off for every absence after. Not even a true English teacher. F this guy.
