Her math 140 class is online and everyone I know is doing terrible because of how difficult she makes the class. Most people take online classes and she makes it so hard with examity and doesnt have due dates at convenient times.

Angelina was my TA and she was by far the best ever! The class was a hybrid, but I enjoyed being able to learn, take notes, and complete the homework easily at my own pace. My first test wasn't as good as I hoped bc it was tricky but after the first test I aced the rest! Angelina was always willing to help and wants everyone to succeed, so ask her!

Comment:

Didn't realize this was a hybrid class until the first day of class. I liked that better because the class was only mandatory 1 day a week just to take a very easy quiz. You have to watch about an hour's worth of videos each week, but the subject matter is very simple and explained thoroughly. Taught by a TA which sucks, but I Dr. Epstein was nice.

This is a hybrid class so it does require you to do extra work outside of scheduled class time. You have to watch multiple videos every week (which aren't that bad if you stay on top of it). 2-3 homeworks due and a quiz at the beginning of each week. The first 3 tests were fairly easy, but the final exam was much more difficult.

I wouldn't even call her a prof. She lives in New York and only comes in for tests. This class was a hybrid and I relied on my TA (who was amazing) to get a good grade. Apparently the prof doesn't even make her own lecture videos. This class has a ton of homework and video lectures. Get ready to do hours of homework and studying. Tests arent bad.

Her TAs do everything and you never get to see the actual prof. Exams are nothing like what we practice in class or from her lectures. And ALL lectures are online since its a hybrid class. Online lectures were useless, confusing, and extremely slow. Homework was useless prep for exams. I did well only cause of 4.0 & Go Tutoring.

Comment:

The TAs are what make the class great (Angelina!), but Epstein is a very kind lady who is always eager to help. I personally LOVED taking this class online. It allowed me to go at my own pace and I had the resources I needed to do well. The tests are very straightforward and easy if you've watched the videos, done the homework and attended class.

My TA was Abby and she was awesome. She was always super helpful, but also wouldn't baby you. I never saw Dr. Epstein, but I knew she made the tests and determined our grades. The tests weren't too bad, just be sure to go over topics that you have trouble with, and you should be good to go.

I had Angelina as my TA and she's awesome! She's really the only reason I have a decent grade right now. I've literally only seen the actual prof once which was at the first test. The homework is really easy but the test questions can be tricky but its doable

Angelina is my TA and she is the sweetest, truly cares about everyone's success, and always makes herself 100% available to help. The tests are unnecessarily hard and tricky. The tests are awful and based on tricks rather than knowing the easy material. 10/10 do not recommend because Epstein couldn't care less if you succeed or not. Just awful.

Dr. Epstein does nothing for the course except write the exams, and that is the bane of this course. MATH 141 is not a hard class at all; save yourself the trouble and take a class with another prof in person. Online lectures, homework, and reviews are not made by her. You rely completely on the TA to teach you. Final was very hard.

I took this as a hybrid course and enjoyed it. To make an A you need to make a friend, go to week in reviews and talk to your TA. She does four tests and weekly homework(20 questions max) and about an hour of video lectures. Dr. Epstein is never in Texas but the TAs are helpful and always available. And she replaces the lowest test grad with final

I took this class as a flipped class, so we met once a week for quizzes in class. It was entirely taught by the TA, mine was super helpful, but you only ever see your professor during exams. She usually is always out of state. There is tons of online homework and lectures so if you're not good at managing your time, you probably shouldn't take this

Horrible! I would not recommend her to anyone. I took the hybrid class, so she didn't really do much, but grade so it's not necessarily her that's bad, just the class and the way it's set up. DO NOT TAKE THIS ONLINE, maybe try her in-class, but not a high recommend.

This is a hybrid class, and unless you have an extremely strong background in math you will have to teach the material to yourself. My TA met with us once a week to do a worksheet and a quiz- it wasn't helpful at all. The tests were extremely tricky, and she was only in town a few days before the test. If you can definitely look at another prof.

I loathe math but i enjoyed this class. I took the hybrid so it was mostly online and then I just met for my quiz every week. She really cares about her students and replaces your lowest test grade if you get higher on the final and drops lowest hw and quiz grades. If you struggle with math like me, A+'s reviews and her weekly reviews helped!
