Prof. Kim is obviously very passionate, full of knowledge, intelligent, and an all around great person, but her lectures are impossible to listen to. They have no structure and she moves from one thing to another; taking notes is out of the question. The lack of organization of the material made me lose interest to the point of dozing off.

Probably the coolest prof I had! Some of what she teaches is not easy to understand but she's super-quick on email and lax with deadlines. I wish I had her before my last year!

She is actually a really good prof, and she is very chill. I was lucky enough to have her as my tutorial leader as well and despite the fact that she is a bit of a grammar nazi i was still able to get an A. That being said her classes are not exactly easy

I also had her as my tutorial leader, and she is not exactly an easy marker, she is strict about grammer. But overall she is as good a professor as you can ask for, she has the rare combination of being extremely knowledgeable and has really good. teaching skills. if you make an effort to learn you will get alot out of her class, very helpful too

Professor Kim is extremely knowledgeable.I thoroughly enjoyed her lectures (and sense of humour). She was also very approachable. On a few occasions I sought her assistance for research in other courses and she willingly helpeed me. I recommend her classes :)

Professor Kim and Chin Lim (the TA for this course) are both AWESOME!!!! The course was very interesting and the Professor/TA were both approachable and extremely knowledgeable. I have taken many university courses, and this has been the BEST one. Thank you both!!!

She seems smart but all of her lectures are extremely boring. She reads off notes way too much. Lectures with her are like a poorly presented grade 6 Bristol board presentation. She is also very defensive when challenged with opposing ideas which is funny because she often pokes fun at others beliefs but can't take logical criticisms of her own.

She is an amazing prof that forces you to think outside the norms of society. Her HIST 1030 class is not the easiest because she is very strict when it comes to marking in the beginning of the course but she is more lenient towards the end. If you are a good writer and want to improve your writing then i highly recommend this course

Took Imperialism and Nationalism in Modern Asia with her. Fantastic prof: passionate, opinionated, helpful, and very very smart! Reading- and writing-intensive class and she's all for good writing/grammar, in addition to the content of your paper.

A fantastic woman who is great at leading discussions and who genuinely wants to help students out. She is passionate and incredibly knowledgeable about her subject. However, her lectures were nearly impossible to take notes in, as she jumped from topic to topic incredibly quickly. Possibly because she only had 50 minutes a week.

Awesome prof! really makes herself available to helping the students. She's got spunk! And she's really smart, knowledgable and funny! She marks moderately hard, but not like you can't get a high mark in her class. Don't bs in her essays, she hates it. write meaningful stuff. Best prof i've had for my last year!
