Galambos is old so it's hard to hear what he says sometimes and its really hard to follow along. He teaches material straight out of the book, which was good because it was hard to understand what steps he would take sometimes in a problem. He was a nice guy, but I would recommend another teacher if you really want to pass this course.

Galambos is absolutely awesome!! i highly recommending taking a class with him if it is possible. His theory of learning is..."grades are stupid, everyone should have an A, but come to my class ready to learn challenging material to better yourselves!". Tests were VERY simple, no final...got an easy A and learned quite a bit from him!!!

had dr galambos for probability theory, hes awesome, explains everything clearly, tests are from either the homework or problems in class, very straight forward, allowed to use a cheat sheet, attendance is mandatory and he is strict about that. Highly recommend for any class, finds ways to make subject matter interesting

This guy is foreign, German or Hungarian, idk. Very old, and an amusing guy. His class is boring but he knows it. Very hard to understand but he will DEF give you a good grade, just GO to class! Its 20% of your grade. I got a B and my grades were, 41,100,68 and that was it! No homework, no final! If you had math but just need to pass go for it.

If it's possible to avoid this teacher do it! He's got one heck of an accent which is the first problem. His second problem is his approach to the math. He likes to go the long and hard way around a problem, making them seem more difficult than they really are. When I went to math tutoring I learned 2 months-worth of work in 2 hours. Avoid him!!

Note to everyone who needs to fulfill their GQ requirement: TAKE GALAMBOS FOR MATH PATTERNS! The material is easy, he curves every test by about 20 points, and NO FINAL. I only came to class half the time and got an A-.

Great teacher! He curves and helps the students with hard questions on test. He "hints" at what you should do. He may be hard to understand but it doesn't matter, just write down what he writes. You'll get use to the accent. I should know, he said "roll a die" and I thought he said "your gonna die" haha. I picked up the accent quick.

He was cute. He made no sense at all, but it was really easy. His study guides were exactly like the test, so I just took them to the tutoring center before. I liked him, he's the type that likes to help a student out and I think he went easy on us because most of us weren't math majors.

Good guy, he's funny. He has a strong accent but you'll get used to it. He curves like a mother and grades fairly. It's an easy class anyway! He doesn't take attendance and he missed a few classes himself. If you want help just go to him in his office and he will help you out.

Dude, whatever- Galambos is the best! He's hilarious! Very thorough and pretty darn easy. He always gives a review for the test and he curves like a mother. I strongly suggest this guy if you can get by the count dracula accent.
