Comment:
Gives tons of assignments that are EXTREMELY frustrating because they are all tedious busy-work. There are pop quizzes, and if you miss class, even if you have an excused absence, you are not allowed to make them up. The final is also worth almost 20% of your grade and there is no textbook for the class either. Do not recommend her.

Dr. Campbell is funny and engaging in her lectures and it was obvious this passion led to more students to pay attention during class. I'm a history minor but was thoroughly interested in class the whole time. Attendance isn't mandatory but definitely helps, so go if you want a good grade.

Dr. Campbell is into "no surprises" so she doesn't do pop quizzes. We only had a midterm and a final. We have a few sporadic quizzes that you knew the term beforehand. She's a tough grader but is fun and interesting in class. It's obvious how passionate she is about history, which helps a lot!

Her Honors European History class was definitely the most challenging I took. Not a ton of grades, and almost exclusively essays. Having said that, the way she teaches is brilliant. She will absolutely expand your mind in every way, and if you go to office hours occasionally and put forth REAL effort, it will show in the final grade.

I honestly took this class for the sole reason that Dr. C was teaching. I actually loved it! It was interesting, completely new, and she loves telling students about the oddities of history in almost every aspect(legends, ghost stories, etc.)which makes it a ton of fun. Very approachable and if you're honest with her she will help!Take this class!

Incredibly intersting class. I took it when it was a flagship course but it was incredibly interesting. Make sure you pay attention to her talking. If you listen to the stories she is telling and you didn't happen to write them down they will come back to you. It was a fun class and she's a great professor!

Dr. Campbell is really nice and very passionate about her materials. She doesn't grade for attendance, though it definitely helps. Her class was difficult, but not much more difficult than anyone else in the history department. Take her if you've got the discipline to make yourself show up most every day, since the stuff you learn is interesting.

Great teacher and an awesome class, but harsh and subjective grader. All grades are essays, so you can't really argue against an arbitrary C..

Dr. Campbell is really nice. I took middle European history- fun class but hard. Lots of papers and the essay tests are pretty impossible. Don't take her class if your not a good writer. But, I did learn ALOT from her class.

Although Dr. Campbell knows her history, she is exceptionally immature; she lets how she feels about you personally dictate how she treats you. NOT very professional.

Spanish History is interesting. As long as you do your work, come to class, write notes extensively on the docs, lecture notes, and slightly read the book you should do well in this class. All exams are essay format so be prepared.

Dr. Campbell is a great professor. Go to class and you rarely will have to open your book. I actually didn't mind getting up at 8AM for her class. You have to study for her tests but she gives you sample essay questions before hand. Take this class if you need a basic humanities credit or you just like history.

I am not a big fan of history but Dr. Campbell is able to make it fun and interesting for anyone. She is extremely helpful with anything you need. She really cares about her students. This class makes it easy to get up and go to an 8AM class! It focuses on writing with all essay tests and some bibliographies but nothing too time consuming.

AWESOME Professor! She's really super nice and she makes class interesting. She's willing to work with whatever your situation is. I take her eight a.m. class and it's a great way to start off my day! She gives thorough lectures to the point that you don't even need to have read the chapters to pass the test. You can tell she's passionate about it.

Dr. Campbell's slides are the biggest help. Honestly, you don't need to attend class unless your group is speaking, or if there's a quiz or test. But the classes are interesting. If you read and do the writing assingments, you'll be set.
