Lectures are engaging and thoughtful. There are 4 major exams, weekly (short) moodle posts and no final exam. All of this will be based on material discussed in class, so definitely take notes and do not skip if you want a high grade. Wouldn't bother purchasing the required books. Didn't open them once and still passed the class with above a 90%.

He's very smart about eastern Europe studies. Wish it would've been less essay heavy, but at least they are given 100% if you do it in time. Quizzes can be tricky so it's in your best interest to do the reading. (ex: t/f more women are business owners in Russia than men. (true) ace the quizzes if you read. I regret not reading more often. take him

He was so sweet and passionate about the material. It was a joy to come to class. My only criticism is that I didn't crack open ANY of the books he asked us to get and I still passed with an 80% but other than that, an amazing professor.

Online. Every assignment is posted first day of class on Moodle. If you follow the rubric you'll get 100% on every essay as long as you meet the word count (600 essays, 2 240 word responses/week). Get the CoursePack. Don't need books to get a 3.5+, but quizzes will test if you read or not. You can get the books used on Amazon. Read for a 4.0.

I took his class online. He provides some quality lessons and grades fairly. He responds to questions pretty quickly, too. You get as much out of the class as you put in. He sets easy standards, but he follows them strictly. Ex: You have 1 week to complete essays, if you had problems uploading on Monday, oh well. You had 6 other days to do so.

First off, he's a real nice guy. I took the class for my major and the guy was really nice, clear, has a heavy accent (he's a Polish native), but nice guy that will show a lot of movies and you will learn a lot. You would have to try to fail the class because it's pretty easy. I looked forward to going to this class.

I took his Intro to Russia & East Europe class online and found it very easy, just somewhat time consuming. Do not buy any of the textbooks, unless you don't have internet access. Do get the coursepack, however.

Wrobel is an amazing prof. He is from Poland so he has first hand knowledge about the info. that he teaching. The class is very interesting. For people who aren't really into European History the class may be boring but the test and map quizzes are super easy. There are weekly assignments but they are easy too. This is an easy 3.0+ class.

Great professor. Really passionate about the subjects he teaches and is very informed on them. Two very easy map quizzes and a little bit tougher tests but if you show up for class and take notes you will do great.

This is one of the best classes that I have taken. The teacher is clear, consistent, fair, and helpful. The text books are very helpful to complete the class work, also very interesting. I advise buying the books for comprehension of information and completion of quizzes. This was not a ?blow-off? course. All positives in regards to the teacher.

I took this class online, and don't let that fool you. This online course was pretty difficult, but if you do the reading and watch all the videos he posts, you will do perfectly fine. Theres about 8 quizzes and an essay each week. Not too overwhelming, but I suggest you do the reading - quiz questions come straight from the text. Highly recommend

Very easy class. I know I have an A in it. Take it online. You only have to do one 600 word essay every week and he just gives you credit for doing it. You also have to comment 100 words on 2 other peoples essay. And he has about 8 quizzes you have to take. Only get the class packet, don't buy the books. Use google for answers.

He's really informative because he used to live in the region that he teaches about. You watch a lot of video clips, which are okay. You don't have to read the books, which are basically impossible to read anyways. Tests are rough. Oh, and do the extra credit, it's not THAT bad.

He is an excellent teacher and enjoyed his class. The only downside is that you have to write an essay every week, are assigned reading that is hard to finish, and spend alot of time watching movies (not as good as it sounds). Class is basically all about communism with nothing else in the mix, very culturally deficient.
