Prof. Ford was really chill and funny. He has like four exams and a few films that you write single page essays. The subject matter is interesting and I would recommend him. I didn't buy the textbook. If you go to class he covers everything that'll be on the test (which are online - except the final).

Thought he would be a boring professor at the beginning but my opinion was changed as the semester progressed. Laid back teacher who is honest and straight-forward with a good sense of humor. Interesting material covered, pulled from relevant and often hilarious sources. Overall easy class. Study for the tests and you'll easily pass.

His lectures can be really boring because he has a monotone voice. Only 3 short movie papers, a 2 page summary and 2 exams. He's a tough grader on the movie papers and it's really annoying. I thought this class would be an easy A, but it looks like I can only get a B now.

Exams worth 200 points EACH, lectures are so boring just reads power points. No class work what so ever. 6 papers only takes 4. GOOD LUCK

There are only 3 tests worth 200 points which makes a huge impact on your grades. There are 6 essays that I found were easy to complete but were graded a little tough. So if your not a good essay writer you will need to step up your game with the essay's and do all 6 of them. The lowest 2 grades are dropped on the essay's. The films were good.

Jason Ford is a great professor and he cares for his students. He will do anything to help anybody all you have to do is ask. His classes consist of 2 test, 3 film essays and a paper. His lectures are straight from his powerpoints and can be long. I found his test really hard. Only reason I did not get an "F" was because of his writing assignments.

Even though for my grade in the class, I find this professor really good. He cares for his students and wants to help. His class lectures are off his powerpoints so they can be dragging at times. The course material itself is off chapters in the course book. I found the test really tough. What saved me from an "F" was his essays. Would take again.

Very straight forward class. Super interesting subject matter. 3 Easy 50 question multiple choice exams and your choice of 4 out of 6 one page papers on movies we watch in class.

I wouldn't call this the easiest class ever, but an "A" is certainly attainable. No book. One-page paper on 8/12 films. If you have perfectionistic tendencies like me, you may get frustrated as there wasn't a single 100% (besides the one his GTA graded). Good sense of humor. Laid back. Attractive.

If you have perfectionistic tendencies like me, you may get a little frustrated as no one scored a 100% on any paper (besides the one the GTA graded). Good sense of humor and laid back. Attractive too.

Easiest class you will ever take. If you are a sociology major or minor and need a GPA booster - take this! You watch one documentary a week, with a one page paper due every week. No midterm, just a final.

Never got the book. Went to class occasionally but he posts all notes online. Many documentaries were shown, only had to write on a few. Exams were easy. He's laid back in all senses, his humor works for college. Some find his teaching lazy but the material isn't hard for him to give more work. He's hot in a dad who coaches lil league kinda way.

I am a psych major and I thought this course was easy, as long as I did my work. I think Jason Ford is a great professor, at least for an online class. He knows his material and his exams aren't hard. The text was an easy read, so I read it and got an A on the exam. He was prompt when responding to my emails.

Pretty easy class. Just show up and you will most likely get an A. He gives extra credit. There are 3 exams and 3 papers on movies. Probably one of the better GED I've taken

Dr. Ford is extremely savvy in his field but it's obvious that he doesn't really LOVE to lecture. He was helpful and his class is fairly easy. I recommend- just remember that he does LECTURE. Sometimes he makes jokes to lighten the mood a little. Within the Soc dept, he's great. Freshman- if you're lazy... stay away. Easy A with work.

Another loser professor on the UCF payroll. The guy never responded to emails. I basically taught myself the class. He seems to be lazy. This is a common problem with UCF professors.

First time teaching the course. Powerpoints were straight from the text, which I needlessly bought. Monotone and seemed uninterested in the course. Would not take him again.

Taught at an intro to sociology level. While many may find him to be okay, I observed overt bias toward older students and law enforcement personnel. He really taught nothing substantial, yet graded very hard. Very monotone and acts uninterested. I do not recommend him.

I have enjoyed this class. Final exam is 50% of grade (open note/book). Online quizzes throughout semester-answers are all plainly in book. You can tell he knows his stuff but doesn't LOVE to teach. He is a researcher. He's kinda funny sometimes. I am taking him again for 2 classes next semester.
