So ORGANIZED!!! Holt makes very difficult and obtuse subject matter comprhensible. I miss him so much. Plus, he's like the James Bond of Philosophy.

Incredible teacher; clear, interesting, witty, and above all comical; he's now gone from Concordia, and teaching at Dalhousie. It would be worth the cost of airfare to take him for a class there.

He's a good teacher but very hard grader. I would recommend him only if you are extremely interested on the topic, otherwise it can get pretty hard.

4 exams throughout semester. grades based on exact replication of what he says in class. i know very few people who usually get good grades who did well in his class. topics are interesting here and there. he's kinda dorky.

He's fascinating, though an impossible marker. His courses would be better to audit! He's obviously brilliant, very well read, well rounded. His sense of humour shows it. He knows his stuff, and expects his students to as well.

He is hilarious in a weird beat-poet wanna-be way. He is super clear and his classes are very structured. He has the organization that so many phil. profs need! Fun class

Impossible to get an A+ (one student a semester), if you work really hard you can get an A-. He gets offended very easily and he is obsessed with controling and directing the flow of the class, e.g. when to ask questions, and the numbers of questions that

He is a clown. Dresses-up in black only. The topic is intersting but it will probably not change your life. Exams: 4 throughout the semester, non-cumulative which is great but also necessary.

Lectures like he's talking to cokehead monkeys dressed as undergrads - which isn't necessarly bad...very clear explinations, tells you what's important and is always willing to explain. Funny.
