I took Dr. Martin this semester and I'm so glad I did. He gives you every opportunity to succeed, even if you mess up. He makes History, which can be boring, super fun! As long as you take the easy quizzes every week, you'll pass. And he practically gives you the answers to the tests with a exam review. He's awesome and super funny! Recommend

Comment:

Dr. Martin, at first, seems like your run-of-the-mill history teacher. I had no problem with any of the quizzes and exams, however I did have a problem with his teaching style. Constantly using profanity and racial slurs is a surefire way to get a students attention while simultaneously losing any semblance of respect as a person and a scholar.

Mr. Martin posts his complete schedule in the syllabus. If you are committed you can easily pass this course. He quickly responded to my emails and was always helpful. I took this class on line but I would definitely choose him again as a professor.

I took an online history course with Dr. Martin. He was always very helpful and replied to messages fast. You get 3 chances to earn extra credit and I only needed 2 two score 100%. Easy A, if you do the work.

He is SUCH a great teacher!! I am really enjoying his class. You'll get an A if you show up to each class period and take notes. He is SO funny and entertaining. It's obvious that he is passionate about what he teaches and that makes you passionate about it too. I absolutely love his class!

Took him online. Very clear. Just read the book and his class notes and you'll be fine on quizzes and tests. Quizzes are T/F, tests have multiple choice, T/F, short answers, & essays, but you get the chance to write them ahead of time. Final is only over the last few chapters & didn't have short answer/essay. Great instructor.

I took Mr. Martin online, and thoroughly enjoyed his class. The book he uses is so interesting! You have to read the chapter, take tests, and write three essay questions. There are several to choose from, but if you stay in good email contact with him, he'll give you hints on which ones to write! Loved him!

Absolutly loved this teacher. He writes out the notes and explains them in class. Just write down everything he writes down and study just that for the exams and you will have an easy A. He gets into character, which is too funny.Would LOVE to have him as a teacher again.

I took Mr. Martin online for History of Civilization. He seems to be pretty helpful and grades the written answers timely. Class isn't easy! He gives study guides for the exams but not the quizzes. Even with the study guides, the exams are hard. Sometimes the T/F can go both ways. LOTS of reading-if you don't read the chapters, you won't do well.

I took Mr. Martin's class online thinking that he would be an easy instructor, WRONG!!! He might be a wonderful guy in class, but he is not the guy you want to take online. His quizes are diffficult and so are his test....Pure disappointment even though I passed with a B+.

THE BEST teacher I have ever had. He gives essay questions which some people don't like but the point of college is TO LEARN STUFF. Come to college and be prepared to apply yourself. Martin is the most helpful and charismatic teacher on this campus. I would take Mr. Martin even if the alternative was an "easy A". He will make you like history.
