It is not necessary to go to class because he lectures straight from the book. He was humorous, but it was unclear what he was going to be testing you on.

Makes an effort to joke every class. Lectures by the book with supplementation from videos. If you study a little, you will do great in this class! One of the best professors at LSSU

He is a very passionate professor and knows what he is talking about. His lectures are interesting, and he uses humor in class. The exams are extremely specific and tend to be based on the details and not the main points of the chapter.

Dr. Swedene is hilarious. His passion for the subject matter is kind of infectious. The issue I have with his class is that he doesn't really make it clear what he will be testing you on, so you pretty much have to read all 30-60 pages of each chapter and hope you remember it. He does give extra credit assignments galore though.

He was a great teacher. He tries to be funny, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. Tests are really hard but the amount he cares about the topic is refreshing.

He is a special kind of professor. He does jump around... It is confusing.. But hes hilarious and covers the material you need to know. You will never run into a test question that he never went over, but that doesnt mean you will remeber the answer. Very interesting class. he knows its boring and tries to spice it up. I suggest him as a HUMN prof.

Mr. Swedene is very energetic and entertaining while lecturing. Although once in a while he will get a bit off track, he has a way of keeping the students engaged and participating. With his help, Logic was fun and easy to learn; aced every test and learned a lot.

Really friendly and approachable prof. The class is much easier with him than it is with Schirer! I don't find I learn as much from him as I did in Schirer's class, but his tests are much easier, and if you just read the textbook you should pass easily. He's also great for extra credit, and let me make up an online quiz I missed. Highly recommended

He is a nice guy but perhaps should reconsider teaching! Very approachable but I think he's in his own world because never do you get a straight forward answer. Tests are impossible to study for he says, "listen in class and youll do fine" YEAH RIGHT! DO HIS EXTRA CREDIT!!! it is a life saver

JKS is a great professor. He tries to make the class tolerable with quirky jokes and his great personality. If you want an A, remember to do all the online quizes, attend class, and do the extra credit offered. Humanities may be boring, but I wouldn't want to take it with another prof.

You can have a pretty good handle on the subject but if you have a problem with his weird question/answer system, you're screwed.1/2 the original class dropped out.
