Stay away! It is not worth the blemish on your GPA. This class was not a very good experience for me learning, or otherwise.

Didn't not give clear instructions as to what was expected for assignments but often deducted points when things weren't done the way he wanted. Did not enjoy this class at all. Textbooks, written by himself, were very bland.

Don't take this course. Self-serving and self-aggrandizing material (two books that are by the professor) and stand by to hit your knees and pander to him during the CTEs when digesting his material. No class interaction (online), and overall the material was better covered at a community college Ethics course.

This was a simple class. 3 short critical thinking writings, 4 online quizzes, and an E-portfolio. As long as you put effort into your writings, you should do fine. The quizzes are easy if you do an in depth reading of the chapters and power points. I barely put any time into this course even though I took it during the 2 week intersession.

I took Dr. Albanese for the winter intercession. Albanese is smart but not hard to understand. He is genuinely concerned with the performance of his students. If you read most class materials prior to the timed quizzes you can consistently perform in the A/B range. Critical thinking assignments are harder but not difficult if prepared.

Intersession class is intense and obviously condensed, but assignments are clearly defined and often given in advance. Fantastic feedback and individual explanations (not canned text). You have to read three books cover-to-cover in 10 days, but you should expect as much for a 3 credit class. ePortfolio PPT is worth 20% of your final grade.

He is definitely a tough grader and for absolutely no reason. I worked really hard on every assignment and still only ever received a C at best. The only thing that saved me was the extra credit and the final which me and about 4 others took together to get through because it was way too hard to do alone with the ridiculous questions and time given

His feedback absolutely makes no sense and nothing satisfies him. His books are mediocre at its best and is forced on you. And he won't ever specify how he likes things cited but will reluctantly takes points off. Avoid.

I had him for Intro to Criminal Justice and it was an online class. He is a good teacher, he gives you feedback on your work but it is not good enough feedback. The class is easy though, there's 1 final, 3 activities, 3 quizzes with 2 extra credit opportunities. Everything is online but the tests are timed so review the book prior. Overall, nice.

Alright. I've taken two classes with this guy. The only positive to his courses is that he assigns one thing every other week be it a quiz, a short essay assignment or a test or project. He grades incredibly tough and is rude in his comments back on assignments. He's an incredibly accomplished man but a rude, unclear and not very helpful professor.

He's a good professor but I found him to be a little condescending which made it harder to appreciate him or the class. The class is basically 4 quizzes, 3 DB and 1 eportfolio but don't be fooled he is tricky and very tough at grading. No matter how many sources you cite it appears that he has already made up his mind about your grade...

I have taken him for several online classes and he was a decent enough professor. I really liked how he assigned work once every two weeks, which made the class a lot less overwhelming than other online classes I have taken.

This was a pretty good course, but you will have to use the text book which is written by the professor. There are 3 tests, 3-4 critical thinking exercises & eportfolio. The test are timed.

I must admit that I usually only love the easy graders, however, Dr. Albanese has proven to be one of the most amazing professor I have had. His textbook is absolutely amazing. He is so knowledgeable in the field of criminal justice. At first, I thought, Oh lord, he wrote his own textbook but I ate my words when I realized how amazing it was.

Dr. Albanese is awesome. Seriously, he teaches 400 level classes and the only work you have is 3 small writing assignments, a portfolio, 3 quizzes, and a final. He explains IN DETAIL exactly how to do the assignments, so if you follow that then you should do great! Always cite your sources and try to meet all the criteria and you will succeed!

Dr. Albanese knows what he is talking about. Make sure you cite your sources with name of book and page number to receive optimal credit on all assignments! The textbook is mandatory and I suggest reading it, because it is hard to look up all the answers to the timed online quizzes. He is a great professor though, I learned a lot.

I did not like him as the teacher for the online class. The class had the potential to be really interesting but the grading was rough. The assignments are spread out which is nice but I received an awful grade on an assignment and was told it didn't seem like I read the book when I was paraphrasing straight from it. I don't recommend it.
