I've had Berman for 2 classes. Crime Prevention & Careers. Berman is a great and funny guy. He knows his stuff. Yes he's demanding but very fair, and willing to work with u. If u dont take his class seriously, he won't take u seriously. Stop bad mouthing him. grow up and do the work. This college for Christs sake.

he is really structured and make everyone understand and love the subject. I love the way he teach and explained things also considering that there are international people who their first language is not English so he always try to speak clear and in a more easy way.

He's knowledgeable, however, I wish he wasn't so boring. He will keep you in class for the whole 3 hours. Had him for Careers in CJ. No quiz, no midterm, no final and 1 group project. But keep in mind, he is ONE TOUGH GRADER. You can do everything in his class and he'll give you a C. i witnessed it from other students. Be careful with Berman.

Prof. Berman knows what he is talking about& is very smart. He can be a little funny sometimes. He doesn't like people using their phones or being late. His tests are difficult& your grade depends on 2 exams so that kind of sucks. If you dont want your gpa to go down it would be better to not take him unless you literally memorize the book&ur notes

Prof. Berman just talks too much and doesn't really teach anything we didn't already know. But then we're force to write a paper saying how "good" the class was. Talking for hours with no interactions had the entire class sleeping all the time. HE IS BORING and can be really NASTY.. Has no empathy for studens. Class is easy, but he is the pain!

I took Dr. Berman for Crime Prevention in Summer I and am suprised at the negative comments here. He gave 2 projects, 1 individual & 1 group. I found him to be interesting, and easy to understand. He gave me information on where he was getting his material from. He's fair and a great professor. I hope to take him again on masters level.

He doesnt give a lot of work but he only gives 2 exams. if you fail the first one even if you pass second you could still fail.he doesnt give a review at all. seriously should get fired.if a cop took his exam would fail it immediately.you can tell he has nothing to do and thats why he has so much time to make the exam as difficult as he wants to.

Took Professor Berman in Fall 09 semster. I'm surprised at some of the comments posted here. He is a very knowledgable, professional , experienced teacher. He takes no nonsense. He really knows his stuff, but I found his exams to be very difficult. He is extremely particular with short answers and essays on the exams and will take off half the points for minute details. Also, he has a "no excuses" attitude with pretty much everything. I got a barely passing grade and I studied my butt off for it!
