Really excellent professor. I went into the class thinking that I was going pass with flying colors, but Jay challenged me in all areas of my work in Comm 105. This was my lowest grade for my semester, but I definitely learned the most from it.

Dr. Jay is amazing! He always makes class fun. Even when I took Comm Theory (one of the hardest comm classes), it didn't feel that hard because he guided us through everything really well. (And graded leniently) Highly recommend interpersonal comm as an easy elective anyone can enjoy, and it's practical for everyday life.

Dr. Jay taught my MBA class - Organizational Communication. It was one of the most challenging classes of the program, but it was also my favorite. Dr. Martinson is the best professor I've ever had. He is phenomenal. If you attend ONU, be sure to take a class with Dr. Jay. It's totally worth it! I kid you not, he is the best.

I don't like speech but I thoroughly enjoyed this class. Giving the speeches wasn't fun but he made the class room a friendly place so it was alot easier to speak without worrying as much. Take him if you have the chance! Great proff!

I was not looking forward to speech class, but it turned out to be the best class I've ever taken and Dr. Martinson is quite possibly the best teacher I've EVER had! He began every class by saying, "Good afternoon, friends!" And he meant it! We are his friends, not just his students!

One of the best profs I've taken. Funny, intelligent and engaging. Reading is essential to do well, but worth it. Everyone should take Intercultural Comm if they have the chance.
