I took Teachman's 8:30 am stats class and originally thought it would be unbearable. In reality, I didn't miss a single class and he kept us all laughing the entire time. He is knowledgable and gives study guides for exams. Unfortunately, he has retired from teaching stats, but take his capstone if you have the chance! You won't regret it!

I love you Jay Teachman. Stats became my favorite class, at 830 in the morning. everyday I was excited to go. He cracked me up the whole entire time. Wish I would have known about him sooner before he is retiring. Complete legend and a heart of gold. actually wants you to learn.

Teachman really made Stats more interesting. It's difficult subject matter to get a handle on if you don't really like math, but he makes it more interesting by using interesting examples. He makes jokes, and he's super easy to talk to.

I love Teachman! Statistics was something I was dreading, but he made it fascinating and understandable for me. His wit and kindness helped me stay focused on the lectures and feel comfortable talking to him outside of class. I've never gotten an A in a math class until this one. I will definitely be taking more from him!

Take him!!! He is awesome. Demography content is incredibly boring, which he admits, but he does his best to make class interesting. He's very approachable and helpful, really clear in his lectures and is willing to accommodate if you have to miss class or a test. I would take him again if I could!

Teachman is amazing. He is a wonderful Prof and I highly recommend him for any classes he teaches. He is the type of Professor worth going to university for, the class is moderately difficult but if you go to office hours he will give you the help you need.

Love Teachman! The content of demography is DULL, but he's easy to listen to. He's funny and genuinely cares about his students, super understanding that life happens and is willing to help you. Allows notecard for tests! Definitely recommend this guy.

He really wants people to succeed and will spend as much time as it takes with you until you understand the material - which is helpful in a Stats class. All tests are open booknoteinternet so if you go to class and prepare yourself with his practice tests and homework you will do well even if math is your archenemy.

Another great quarter with professor Teachman! He is such a nice man and he wholeheartedly cares about his students. You can tell that he wants everyone to succeed and that's pretty rare. He is great at providing alternative explanations if you're confused and he allows a notecard for exams which I really appreciated.

Teachman is one of my favorite profs! He is a bit older which means hes been teaching for a long time and really just wants to have fun and joke around. He is EXTREMELY effective at teaching the material and his personality makes you want to come to class. Having taken stats before this was an easy A. I would highly recommend him over anyone else!!

I hate math, but Teachman made Social statistics very understandable and fun. He is a great guy and a great teacher. Always willing to give students extra help and I recommend going to his office if you're confused. He is great at providing additional explanations if you're struggling.

last 1/2 of the course is a bit dull but can't always be interesting. He makes the class a lil more fun to come to. sucked it was 230-4 though. on reviews: gives u a hint what each ? is about (very helpful) u don't rly need the book but for each exam there r maybe 2 or3 ?'s from the book. there r 6 easy online assignments, & an easy informal paper.

Teachman is a cool guy but i dont think he taught this class well. the exams q?s didnt reflected the main points he spent time going over in lecture. His wording on exams & powerpoints were confusing. I didnt do too bad but he ended up curving the grades since scores were so low. The class wasnt that boring & I learned a lot of interesting info.
