Comment:

Super sweet lady, but super awful professor. She is so organized it's hard to tell if she's being lazy or if she's just that unprepared for class. Very unclear expectations because she forgets the expectations she sets in the first place. Extremely unorganized & confused but has good intentions. Would be a very good elementary school teacher.

I have sadly never had a professor that was as unorganized as her. You can tell she does little/no preparation before class each day. The class structure/syllabus is all over the place. Attendance is mandatory, but she discusses the same topic repeatedly for several weeks during class. While she is a sweet lady, she should NOT teach.

Comment:

Karen is a very kind person, but the professor I've struggled with the most. Her class (teaching style, PowerPoints, readings, syllabus, etc) was incredibly disorganized and she contradicted herself a lot. She'd tell us a reading wouldn't be on the exam, then she'd put it on the exam. You're graded on two exams and a paper. Would not take again.

Comment:

Karen is an incredibly kind and caring individual who truly wants her students to succeed. Her class is very lecture and reading heavy; taking notes is a must. Her area of weakness is testing - always essay format. Questions can be confusing and off-topic. Be prepared to spend some time studying and you'll get a lot out of the course.

Please save yourself some money, and do NOT take a class from Bradley. She never comes prepared for class, her lectures get repeated over a few days, and she deviates far away from her own syllabus. There was no rhythm to her class, and she expects you to read her mind in making decisions for the class. Definitely not what a WWU Prof should be like

Karen needs to have more of an open mind to her students. The core issue at hand is jumping to conclusions such as when a student asks to come in for help before an exam, they must have not come to class and don't deserve it. Get real.

The test is 100% based on readings, not lecture. She reads off of her powerpoints. You have to do a research project. We asked her to put the syllabus and project rubric on canvas a million times. She finally put it up days before the project was due. The due dates were different on the syllabus and the rubric. Not a great professor.

Despite many of the comments here I enjoyed Karens expertise on Gender and Education. Yes her lectures were all over the place and the questions she asked were not clear but if you at least attempt to participate she will be kinder on grading your assignments. She is a really kind professor but a little disorganized with lecture.

Karen is clearly very intelligent in her field, but she cannot teach. She talks in circles during her lectures making it hard to follow and doesn't put her slides up and so you really have to take good notes. & do the ridiculous amounts of reading. She talks to you as if you have been studying organizations for 10 years. No study guides,avoid class

she was not clear with a lot of the information so I asked a lot of questions she sent me an email that told me I asked too many questions & I needed to let others ask questions, from that point on she never answered another question & would completely ignore me if I raised my hand. REALLY & I paid this woman to teach me something!!?!!?!!?

Karen is a caring and sweet person, but sadly a horrible professor. Not much clarity, topics bounced around way too much during lectures and we don't come back to where we left off when she says we would. Also her exam and paper grades don't elaborate what you got wrong other than "explain more". Even visited her office hours constantly for help.

This is the only person I have rated, and I am only doing it to steer students away from taking this class. I cannot look at my notes for this class because then I think of her and then I get so frustrated I cannot concentrate. She is inconsistent with her grading, teaching style, and expectations. I feel sorry for her children.

Bradley was an excellent professor, in my opinion. She does care about the success of her students, and is very approachable and kind outside of class. She also has an excellent sense of humor! I won't lie, it was a tough class. You really have to pay attention, take copious notes, and do the reading to do well.

Avoid all of her classes at all costs. I would rather listen to Justin Bieber's annoying music for a week on repeat non-stop than take any of her classes. No study guide. Must know everything about everything. Not helpful at all for students. Unorganized. VERY HARD GRADER. Recipe for disaster.

Don't take ANY of her classes if you don't need to. She's a nice person but I don't feel like she's very helpful to her students. Her exams are short answers but there's NO study guide from her so you don't know what to study for. She says to ask questions but it's tough to do that when there is no aim or direction to the class.

Dr. Bradley was the worst lecturer I have ever sat through. She was boring, rambled, and her PP slides were often out of order and made no sense. She doesn't give a study guide, so make sure you come to class. Whenever a question was asked, she would attempt to answer it in a round-about way that never answered the question. Worst teacher ever.

Bradley is very nice and sweet. She wants you to pass and cares about how and what you understand in her class. She is a tough grader and very particular about how she wants you to write the papers. Exams are short answers only. It's rather difficult, so remember as much as possible for those. If you want to pass, go to class. No lectures on canvas
