A very nice man who puts incredible effort into his lectures. While the material is heavy (you ARE expected to read everything before it is covered in lecture) the class is worth taking, especially for those furthering studies in English.

The TA's he chose were not helpful in the slightest. He is a very enthusiastic person and knows his stuff but seems to go off topic alot. Nothing seemed organized and his lectures lacked a great deal of structure. Was fun to listen though..

Amazing Prof with a wealth of knowledge and brilliant speaking voice. Seems to care, makes effort to learn names. Lucky enough to have him oversee my tutorial, really tries to help everyone be the best they can be. Likes punctuality, preparedness and participation.

Dr. Kneale loves literature, it's very evident. I agree that the material was not interesting 99% of the time, but he did his best to keep the students focussed and interested. Alex Trebek? I don't see that at all, Dr. Kneale is much better looking!

Alex Trebek.. i agree. Kneale loves his job and has a passion for English. If you are not a fan of Wordsworth, don't take this course. Though the course material was not always exciting Kneale attempted to share his love of the language with the class.
