Comment:

She is probably among the most difficult teachers I have ever had in my life, but certainly one of the best. I am a good writer today, in part, because of her. I enjoy writing because of her. I remember nearly all of what she taught me, because I enjoyed her class so much, and enjoyed listening to her teach. I'm sure hot or not is unimportant.

I love Dr. Boreen as a professor. When she first walks in, you want to cry because she looks so intense. However, she is an amazing professor and you can learn a lot from her. She's great to talk to and is always open to speaking with you in her office.

Comment:

Dr. Boreen comes off as a little scary at first but give her some time, just like anyone else. She is tough but at the same time very caring and helpful to all of her students. She models a way of teaching that demands respect from everyone and is a wealth of great wisdom, classroom management skills and lesson ideas. Twas a hard class but I <3 it

I learned a lot from Dr. Boreen. She comes on like a hard-***, but if you do your work, she'll show you respect. Her "classroom management" skills are meant to teach by example; she's great at modeling teaching strategies. The English-Education program at NAU is excellent, and she's a BIG reason for that.

I'm sure she was a great English teacher but she's not a great professor. She talks down to her college students and treats them like her eighth grade her class. She grades based on how much she likes you and is not open to new ideas. Plus, she has the biggest ego in the world, I'm surprised there is room in the atmosphere for it.

Dr Boreen is my role model...she is everything a teacher of English should aspire to be. She changed my views on teaching...I don't know a single person I went through her classes with that was not profoundly effected by her influence!
